What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

You have such nice plates!
Thanks! I only marked it funny because @Antje77 already has her eye on that plate!

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a phd bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a CarbKilla bar
Tea at ILs: cold meat, cheese and salad buffet followed by one Jaffa cake!

Em was in and wanted to make pancakes, so with my legs feeling a bit better (thanks to codeine and paracetemol) I stood up for a bit to mix the batter and then she had to get on with it by herself - I couldn't do any more. But it encouraged me so, after another rest, I cut up the cauliflower into smallish florets and started them frying in a lot of butter. Then got the haddock out of the fridge and sat in in a pan on top of the cauliflower and, eventually shoved it in the oven. Ate about half of it and the rest will be there for tomorrow. Very tired now, so it's another early night for me.

Yesterday
0900hrs B chia seed pudding with nuts and berries
1330hrs L pulled pork with broccoli and cheesy cauliflower
1830hrs D hm burger no bun with bacon , chorizo and 2 x fried eggs

Morning all. Hopefully a good week for us all. Yesterday turned into a 2mad after all. The vertigo makes one feel a bit nauseous and the pulled muscle makes life difficult and painful. Today it's Pensioner's lunch so it's a guessing game! But teatime will be low or non carb. Am getting reasonable readings atm so don't want to ruin that. Good health to everyone.

Been away a while, bit busy and a lovely dose of covid (my first).

Breakfast; l/c granola, 2 slices Heylo toast
Lunch: seedy crackers topped with brie, serrano ham, packet of quavers, l/c nut bar
Dinner; Beef strips and mushrooms on lc wrap topped with guacomole, then berries and cream.
Snacks; small amount of salted popcorn, lindts 85% choc, dak chocolate covered almonds, mocha!!!

Can't get in kitchen, its being painted so had to snaffle what I could in morning. Far too many snacks but amazingly still within my allowance of carbs???! Back to normal Wednesday (I hope):hungry:

B: yoghurt with seeds and raspberries. My first hm yoghurt, has a different flavour and not too sure I like it
12 noon, a small chunk blue cheese
2 pm a glass white wine with a lot of soda
3 pm, a return to the lovely Riverside fish restaurant we found 10 days ago. Starter of mussels in cider and cream sauce. Did have 1 small slice of the brilliant crusty bread. Gave rest to hubby.
Main was bream with a salsa Verde and salad
(Himself had fried calamari, then mussels and chips, then frangipane tart)
Both sitting here now 6 hours later still replete

Almost zeroMAD today. Still finding movement difficult but I had to go to get my legs rebandaged and didn't get around to having anything before I went and when I came back I was just shattered and fell asleep in the big chair. Woke up about an hour ago but didn't feel up to making or eating anything. Just thought I'd better have something in my stomach so had a Ryvita and some cheese. that'll do me for tonight.

@ANTJE, I'm having a problem with changing my e-mail address on the forum. Is there someone who might help me with that?

I'm guessing you meant to tag me, the ANTJE you've tagged hasn't been seen in 7 years. If she ever logs on again she'll be scared off again right away from all the tags and PM's she's included in! :hilarious:

I'll send you a PM on how to change your email address, give me a minute. :)

Didn't feel like cooking really, and then I got distracted by a long phonecall after which I didn't feel like cooking at all anymore.
So a slice of low carb bread with cheese, tomato and mayo should do the trick, plus a hard boiled egg found in the fridge with the same treatment.
Might have some yoghurt and strawberries for dessert too.
And pork scratchings in bed later on...

Mashed avocado on RyVita.

Still have some baked cauliflower to use up so I'll mash that and have it with some seared salmon for a main meal - if I can eat when I come back from the dentist.

My own dentist has gone down with covid so all my appointments have to be moved yet again (this bout of treatment has been going on for about 9 months now) but I have been moved to another dentist for this first appointment this week because my eye tooth has broken off at the gum level and is very sharp. It should be removed, but it's an emergency appointment so they may just plaster it over with something meantime and leave it until my man is recovered.

Sunday 23 July - bed 6.8 FBG 7 - A day for rushing about. Not good with vertigo but, son & DIL are away tomorrow (anniversary) so we have tge boys from tomorrow morning until Tuesday afternoon. I had to make sure I had everything to feed 2 mini eating machines. Shopping today and a speedy delivery booked for tomorrow.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with guacamole and smoked chicken.

L. Nothing

D. Slow cooked brisket in a red wine sauce with celeriac parmentier, Brussels and green beans, and I swear the GF Yorkshire pudding is not that huge! It's the camera angle. Usual campari and soda. Beef cut like butter.

Monday 25 July - bed & FBG 7.2

After getting son & DIL to train station, got back to ours with boys to get grocery delivery then feed them lunch. After that, took them swimming at the club - 2.5 hours!! At least they slept well.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with ox tongue and coleslaw.

L. Nothing - no time but a lot of water at swimming.

D. I tried 1/2 a GF steak pie (not huge), romanesco, sprouts and the remains of the green beans.2 strawberries.

Rest of the evening was taken up with reading to boys, mindfulness and eventually collapsing but....the vertigo has gone!! Touch wood, touch wood.20220724_185100.jpg
