Good to hear from you, shame about the stress before the test. I hope and pray all goes well and a solution can be found.Good morning folks. Just off for my early morning fasting blood test for lipids etc as the medical profession seem concerned about my cholesterol levels and I don't seem to tolerate any of the medications they've had me try. Having had nothing at all to eat since yesterday's tea I thought I'd test my fbs before setting out and 9.7! Why oh why?At least I'm not at risk of a hypo before I return for breakfast. Enjoy your Friday and the week-end to follow.
Great news on the improvements. You really have nothing to be despondent about having gone from insulin to the amazing place you are now. I do understand the frustration believe me but you at least can point to success so relax, you are a shining example of a success story and an all round star lady.I think that I am seeing a definite metabolic improvement. Dawn phenomenon is definitely no more. 4.7 first thing this morning. So before breakfast took dogs out for their walk before it got too hot. On return 4.5.
So my liver released just enough glucose for the walk rather than an uncontrolled flooding of my system with glucose that I used to get (I once recorded a 9.0 after doing a pre-breakfast dog walk).
I had noticed over the last couple of weeks that DP seemed to have gone and today was a good opportunity to really test my theory.
Improvements are happening at a snail's place - but they are still happening -:even after 4 years low carb/keto. I must admit that sometimes I do get despondent at the slow pace of improvements - so this has really made me happy this morning.
Really good news on your results. It must have been really stressful when the lab made a mistake. Good that they admitted it.Good morning all. First out of the traps for me was a 4.9 - oh so meh. Yesterday went well from the result and comfortably numb angle - celebrated with tea. Strange week as my Drs had given me some concerns over the pre test sample last Friday but by Wednesday rang to say oops, our bad, the lab says all good. Same day I was tripped by one of the pups and sustained grazing to head, arm and knee. - hence the curate's egg allusion. Just before leaving yesterday the en suite shower dribbled water through the ceiling . Huge thanks for all the good wishes. 6 months before next one - time to sort out the house (because the only way out of it is to finish it) and try to turn this woe from being the problem (absolute pooh show in autumn and winter) into a solution/positive. Above all I need to be still for the presence of The Lord. Salmon and avo salad, sun and cricket today - truly blessed today. Have a great day, if a tad scorchio hereabouts or thereabouts in your whereabouts.
Thank you. I must admit I do tend to forget about what i have achieved and focus on what I haven't achieved yet.Great news on the improvements. Thanks. Initial test was a tad unsettling but if I'm honest less so than the problem/nightmare of dealing with my T2 by diet.Really good news on your results. It must have been really stressful when the lab made a mistake. Good that they admitted it.
Hope the pups apologised for tripping you up and hope the bumps and bruises are not too sore this morning.
Stunning Birch Trees - I am walking through them right nowI did a painting on Procreate for my daily painting challenge this morning. This took just over 2 hours. I must be influenced by @Muddy Cyclist 's trees!
Got to dash. Will catch up later today...
Just realised I have 6 items I can bid on this morning, just checked. And this same guy is bidding for each. I won't be greedy, I just intend winning 4 of them...

Thank you@ianpspurs. Hope all is well with you too and that things continue to improve.Good to hear from you, shame about the stress before the test. I hope and pray all goes well and a solution can be found.
Definately, Mirkwood!Just a few quick ideas for my daily art. Three very quick sketches of Beech Trees for the series. I want dark and mysterious but not in the fairy tale book illustrative sense which two of these seem to be. I will probably do the top left and the bottom a quick pencil and wash but in my usual style A4 watercolour . This will mean a lot of work on each so expect to see development over a couple of days.

I like Beech tree circles and so will probably start with the bottom sketch as a painting.
Good morning everyone from another prospect of azure in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of smashed avocado salad on a couple of slices of home made bread came in at 4.9 this am.
Granddaughter sitting again today (it’s every Thursday and Friday now, subject to change, terms and conditions apply, always read the small print and take into account the vagaries et al). We will deliver her back to her mum later today on our way to our little house on the prairie for a couple of days. I called in there yesterday for a decent koffy and to eat my packed lunch and noticed that a mobile wifi had taken up residence. Well it works so happy days - or not if you are one of those escapist types trying to get back to pre-raphaelite times and to study nature intensively.
A friend of mine who suffers from depression sent me a picture of a jade bowl mended with gold. In Japan, broken objects are often repaired with gold. The flay is seen as a unique piece of the objects history, which adds to it’s beauty.
So here is Kintsugi - golden joinery.
Went through here on my bike today as you can see from Bike Love photos.. great trees very well painted.I did a painting on Procreate for my daily painting challenge this morning. This took just over 2 hours. I must be influenced by @Muddy Cyclist 's trees!

Currently this is looking very much like a silk painting @Muddy CyclistPlease don't think I have lost the plot, this is just the start of my hill top Beech Circle in dark mood. These are layered base colours which I will work on to get away from the fantasy and hopefully turn into a moody landscape.

@dunelm thanks for you interest in where my sketches were going to take me, I bet you were not expecting this, I know I certainly wasn't.
