Getting these Fbg readings down but slowly. It was 9.1 yesterday after I had the sleep after I posted my muse.

Fbg was 8.9 this morning when I woke up. This is slow to get down after that potato episode the other day.

Okay, this morning's daily painting is a bit of a strange one.
I think it was @Alien Aspie who mentioned Joseph Campbell and Freud in the same post within the last couple of days. I have been watching Joseph Campbell on You Tube awhile now. Most of them are short snippets of information from his talks on mythology and more. I like them being short snippets of information, easy to assimilate.

Anyway, when I was a child, as soon as I could read properly, I began reading fairy stories. I particularly remember Andrew Lang with his Fairy Books, The Blue Fairy Book, and others. Then I went on to reading myths and legends, and still do.

I make up my own stories and myths.

And this painting is one. This is a young Green Man as he is developing....

(I do need to do work on eyes, I need to study them...I make them too big, I always have).

Grey, dull start here and that is just me. From an extensive menu of fbg levels I am opting for a cheeky little red called Tee 2. Being rich with the aroma of baby kale. fennel. celery, cucumber, radish, spring onion, tomato and egg with hints of olive oil, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar:woot: chia seeds and flaxseeds and keenly priced at 4.9 it is a keeper. Way back in the mists of time I taught history and was very fond of hammering away at the ideas of progress, continuity and change. In this moment (Jose M speak) I am experiencing change aplenty with continuity of doubts over how to manage this condition but making very little progress. My later pet saying was marginal gains, thanks Sir Dave (Brailsford), Bernstein's law of small numbers would have sufficed but I taught in a sports specialist college by then. I absolutely love the inch by inch speech (Al Pacino) from Any given Sunday (very effective starter to lessons when Uni offers were made) - no, I don't do films but clips are good. Basically, that is how I reckon we roll with T2. Now I need more tea and prepare for my granddaughter. You too @karen8967 and the rest of you play nice and maybe don't share your toys for now. Beware mutant algorithms.

@jjraak would like to believe it will get better, but if we return to UK the rules are more draconian than ever, we would not even be allowed to go food shopping or for a walk. With fines if we are caught out of our designated quarantine place. Ofc this may have changed or I might be misinformed.
Checking up, found this on the official French Consulate in the UK website:

    passengers coming from France
The British authorities have announced that a 14-day quarantine will again apply to all passengers arriving from France. From 4.00 a.m. on Saturday 15 August (5.00 a.m. Paris time), anyone travelling from France will have to provide an address in the UK, where they will be required to self-isolate for two weeks. This measure is compulsory and likely to be subject to checks. Anyone in breach of the measure is liable to fines ranging from £1,000 to £3,200.

    FBG 6.2.

Edited to remove repeated word and to add FBG

Good Morning and 5.7 for me today.

Spent yesterday afternoon walking with daughter SIL and youngest granddaughter, they then came back to us for a meal, planned to eat outside so two garden tables laid nicely, table cloths and all but it got too cold and so we had to move into dinning room. We all tried to social distance but once indoors it becomes very difficult even though our rooms are spacious and then there is that question of time spent indoors, daughter kept opening outside doors and windows for air flow but we also had insect flow, difficult times, winter will be very hard.

Muddy Bike ride today. Then collect the paint for the big house decorating project.

Life goes on regardless be sure to use it well. Keep safe.

    Thank you.

Your summer watercolour with the quiet lane and distant hills is very well seen and painted. I like the top of the stone wall adding to the depth, hills are magnificent as usual.

And a fine sapling of a green man you have created. A good piece of art inspired by childhood memories.

Good morning everyone from a quiet yet promising start in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of lamb burgers doused in onion gravy with a dollop of cauliflower mass came in at 4.8 this am

Mrs Miggins has decided that she wants to change her Landrover. So, car watch it is. She will oggle the looks, I will take to Which and other seemingly factual sources about reliability, economy and such - but it’s not my car.

@jjraak - nice to see you up and about.

@geefull - thank you - I do appreciate kintsugi and the philosophy of wabi-sabi. We should all embrace our imperfections. Great landscape with your Balding brush - Clair will be impressed. Pleasantly quiet, the path behind the wall awaits.

    @lindisfel - great view.

@Krystyna23040 - Great job, enjoy your well earned bit of peace and quiet.

@gennepher - A beautifully eerie green man in salad days. Eyes- they are are about 75% grown by six months so I suppose that they always look a bit big in the young.

@ianpspurs - yes, it is inch by inch, play by play.

A departure from the hillsides for a while but will re-visit. I have friends who are currently in the jaws of black dog - anxiety, depression. I went to visit with one last weekend - for a cuppa and a chat. So, one of the techniques that I picked up for inside my own head is to be silent and to empty my mind - There are words; Mu, Wu, Sunyata, nothing, emptyness - so, can it be illustrated. This one has probably been over thought, still.

Have the most wonderful day that you can have. I shall drink koffy and check out the tyre pressures on my bike.

6.1 at 0800, yes that is when I opened my eyes. However, I was up until nearly 4am gaming with some other insomniacs as new content has been added and everyone wants to be 'first' ;)

It seems that just like the gaming universe this game of Real Life™ is subject to updates and hotfixes as well. Trouble is, whilst the graphics in real life are very good the actual gaming experience is overrated rubbish :)

Enjoy the day, enjoy the rain ;)

After an intense couple of weeks of snatched meals, takeaways and missed meal whilst clearing out our previous property ready to hand back the keys my fbg has been all over the place. This morning at 3am 11.7. Couldn’t sleep despite being so tired after all the wrapping packing and shifting emptying cupboards and forgotten corners of the bungalow. All this week my watch has been informing me that I surpassed my stand goal by between half or 100%, breathing up to 100% most days and actual exercise between 25 and 99%.. from today the snatched meals are changing back to low carb, veggies will appear back in the kitchen and not in the pantry growing little fur coats. Has anyone tried the cabbage mash?
So new start, new regime and hopefully a walk every evening with beloved and dog. Aiming to unpack all of the boxes stored throughout the new home to reclaim the floor space and my sanity.
    Have a good day everyone!
