Hi @gennepher - Bizarrely, although it shows a photo of a roll, it came in a flat pack so no folds. I have ordered it twice so reasonably confident it will come flat. This is the one I ordered: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XF7QPZX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I like this bamboo @dunelm
Can I ask you a question? When I was looking on Amazon for rice paper to paint on, a lot of reviews complained the rice paper was folded up, instead of being on a roll like the photo of it, and this messed up their paintings because they couldn't get the fold creases out. I thought you said awhile ago that you ordered some. If you did, how did it arrive - folded or in a roll? Thanking you in advance...
I had a friend who worked on The flying Scotsman shovelling coal into the fire box. He said it was non stop hard work on a fast run and under full speed coal would shoot out of the Funnel. I bet these A4 s must have been hungry and demanding beasts.
Amazing machines.
Thanks @geefull. Maelstrom comes to mind - and a lot of noise. Fab. Hug for your mum.good evening all
4.3 today
we took mum to the bank earlier today and when we picked her up we discovered she had tripped yesterday and cut her head and hadn't bothered to mention it when we spoke to her yesterday evening, mr gee is half dischuffed and half worriedbut she is pretty independant and sometimes downright stubborn.
Thankfully she seems to be fine, though we couldn't get her to agree to get it checked by the doctor.
A decent day notwithstanding, quite warm and sunny
Hope your day is treating you well
@jjraak - sounds good, hope your enjoy Turkey
@Alien Aspie - I enjoy your art 'contextualised' or not
@dunelm - I practice like that sometimes, interesting experiment, then straight into the binbut your rice paper practice is going well
@gennepher - hugs for your difficult day. Your moon with it's stylised birds is very pleasing
@Muddy Cyclist - I love both your sky paintings, especially the moon and I think the fence is the better for a little disorder
As for the two new dawn and dusk paintings I like them both as they are already and await the consummation with interest
Art bit -
still working on waves, I did warn you to prepare to be bored
this one also done using a photo found on the net as inspiration.

Not a good trip then to the World State City of London, otherwise known as Mordor. Anything today should be better than that. You could try these, which is what I use.

London: It was as packed as it ever is and not many masks in sight. Took 2.5 hrs to get to Regents Park and then 1 hour to get to Tower Bridge. Never going againI have only just got back, 6.5 hrs in the saddle because (yes) Miss Daisy gave me the wrong address

Smashing, play Monkey Man with granddaughter and dog.I feel a bit of a fraud posting here with no fbg for some time but since you are all such spiffing chums I do it anyhow. Have safe and pleasurable days everyone. Granddaughter and dog care day today whilst probably dipping in and out of here and online newspapers. Thanks for the toad in the hole recipe @dunelm. Scratched that itch last night. Pip Pip old toots and any Maytals.
Did we ever? I am more and more coming to the opinion we all at some point will get Covid, as indeed you have, the only reason the supposed controls are offered is to take the pressure off the Health Service and any blame for high death rates embarrassing the Government, certainly not to protect the vulnerable in the population, just a means of slowing down the carnage. Just my opinion of course. We have no way of containing or controlling this virus based on what I saw
I am so envious. It sounds as though you had a lovely day.It was very misty in Cumbria this am then it lifted by lunch time. So I went to see the tide dropping on the Solway after lunch and there was a mist still over the flat calm water.
The sun burned it off and I had a very peaceful time looking out over the water to Scotland as the soldiers on the Wall perhaps had done nearly 2000 years ago.
D.

Thank you. Like much just now my WOE and management of T2 is in transition. I will test once there is a point. This idea of a new normal is very wide of the mark. This is an interregnum IMHO. We will have to accommodate COVID which means being far more aware of the impact on others of our beloved freedom - which is basically little more than being totally self centred. Applied to my management of T2 via diet and exercise I'm married and need to be mindful of how my choices affect Julie - and the boys- much is left unsaid but I know. I'm also about a month off making my immediate surroundings functional. Another interregnum. One can't put the COVID, Trump, Johnson, Brexit, T2, Cancer or house renovation Genies back in their bottles. None of this is normal or remotely desirable but I don't buy the arc of history nonsense for T2 management, human behaviour or politics. Here endeth the first lessonPlease don't stop, you would be much missed.

Indeed, I thought Bham was bad enough but that there was a whole new level. We have no way of containing or controlling this virus based on what I saw. Might as well just forget it exists and go back to their apparent 'normal'.
5.9 this morning and I am in hiding
