What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are hot and bothered.

A 5.3 this morning.

Me, me's and myself are truly perplexed as to what is going on, covid case rates are rising and the restrictions are being relaxed, the phrase " does not compute " leaps into my tiny mind.
At the moment my oft quoted, by me and me's " stay etc " looks like it can be reduced to one stay........Stay away from people.
This afternoon an attempt at plinky plonky and also tidying up my garage is the plan, but an afternoon nap required.

Well what a day high temperatures sending my MG spiraling out of control so now weak as a kitten.
And now in the middle of a heatwave the entire local area has been losing it's water supply street by street and now has reached us so no water no shower water trucks out at strategic points what a shambles freedumb day is turning out to be.

Got three weeks off now Dunelm.
That's a good idea, get a tethered nanny goat and some free milk. Goats milk is terribly good for ones complexion.;)
D.
Ah goats - my mum had a herd, more a school or a maybe a persuasion of Anglo Nubians - wonderful milk and cheese and of course my dad would always ask who it was that we were eating and don’t talk about the rag that had to be rubbed onto the forehead of the billy and hung in the rafters of the goat shed about a week before the billy visited - blagh!

Good morning everyone from another day sat around at the Gobi Desert Canoe Club here in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of indoor BBQ stuff using the Ninja (even though we have an outdoor BBQ) came in at 5.6 this am.

A trip to Newcastle yesterday morning, Gateshead to be precise - Metro Centre - those chaps who wear blue shirts with a little white apple logo on. Mrs Miggins’ - brand new IPad - stopped installing - decided not to access WIFI and on, and on, and on. So, first person - she no fixy - second person - she get laptop, plug in IPad - then spots VPN actively smacking WIFI and sending it to the naughty step - all sorted - home again, home again, jiggerty jog.

One of our local surgeons has been blogging - you may find it of interest (I have no Idea how to shorten this or put it into a fancy link when using my IPad) - https://www.nomoresurgeons.com/post...vwJiAnZhn0lGsS5z3m2buNGXHc1NWGFMFatuxmPMEnI70

Art bit - from a photo of somewhere “oop north” - can’t tell you where - we need to keep non northerners believing the myth that north of The Humber is still a desolate wasteland from the Harrying of the North. Have a great day - look after your pets - the pavement temperature here yesterday was 56 deg C - certainly not good for little paws. Koffy time.

Looks a great sketch @dunelm
Fresh and light.

I went out early this morning with the intention of being back by 9 am. I was back by 9 am but I have been wiped out the rest of the day. Lying useless on my bed. My brain had turned to liquid. I went to my local fuel station which has been closed a bit because they were prettifying the pumps up, and changing their one way system.

I have been driving since I was 17 years old, and I've always known which fuel to put in. But here were these glossy shiny new pumps, new notices and names and letters etc. Together with it being such a hot day and my liquid brain now freezing when presented with these new pumps, and half the pumps were cordoned off, almost like social distancing of pumps (I do live in Wales and we do not have our day of freedom yet). And there were only two choices at the pump I was able to stop at (the garage was full), I knew I didn't want diesel, and my only other option at the pump was a super duper expensive 95 Octane at a mouthwatering price. So I put a fiver worth in, and prayed...

I have just googled what all this extra writing was, and letters and numbers to get a handle on it.
Normally there is no one at this garage, just one lone person putting in fuel, yet this morning it was packed at 8:45 am...why?

Most modern cars are OK with E10 but older models may still require 95+ octaine or E5 fuel all models built since 2011 are compatible with E10.

I have never come across it written on a pump before. And with them them changing the layout and one way route, and increased social distancing notices, and reminding you to wear gloves and masks, and more notices on the pumps saying they care about your well being, I didn't know where to look...
Thanks.

Good morning everyone on another ready, steady cook morning here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of let’s not bother cooking anything again, far too hot, came in at 5.7 this am - too many olives?

Yesterday and all of a sudden, nothing happend. So much for that then although in the cities, those crazy urbanites were reported to be partying from dusk until yet another dusk, spreading the love, and other stuff.
We have taken to carrying the table and chairs over to the south side of the garden in the morning - where the shade lingers until well into the afternoon, and then back to where it usually sits, just outside the house at about 3. We don’t need to take the parasol but the table looks sad without it. The figs are fattening up and, like the apples, we seem to be having a bumper harvest. Cherries have all gone to the birds, we don’t mind.
A small frog appeared the other day. Mrs Miggins spotted it and pointed it out but it didn’t really look like Emanuel Macron.

Art bit - dragon flies in the park. Have a great day, it might be bin day tomorrow but for now, time for koffy.

5.3 this morning. By closing the curtains on the sunny side of my Norwich venue I was able to keep it at a reasonable temperature for classes yesterday. Today I have a nice long break between afternoon and evening classes - so will take lots of coffee and stuff to read.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/e10-petrol-explained

a biggish deal for bikes as there are a lot of older ones used and ridden,
probably similar with cars, there will be enthusiast of many marques checking into this

Most cars 2000+ should be fine as @JohnEGreen , but if in doubt it seems go for the super 97%
