Haver a wonderful play dayGood Morening Ladies and Gentlemen from a grandchildren infested Tilehurst Towers.
A late night sausage snacking 6.8 this morning.
Well the day is a voyage into the unknown, I think I shall name today as the voyage of the dawn mayhem.
Treats to plan, sneaking them past the ever watchful eye of their nanny ( Mrs J ), supervised woodworking, light saybers to finish and paint, climbing frames to climb, go carts to make go.
Whoops their mother is now checking up, I shall tell the truth, but omit the naughty bits hehehehehe
Stay etc, etc, etc.
The grass is always more delicious when wrapped in pastry but always have some treats - wine springs to mind.07.08
9.00am FBG 5.9 am hoping this is DP, due to ignoring usual waking time and going back to sleep. Have now managed 2 LC days in succession. Today will not be LC.
MrSlim is cooking for some friends. French lunch. Which means four courses.
My starter will be presented in a little glass dish. Everyone else gets theirs in a pastry case.
And he has made me a cauliflower dish to replace the delicious looking potatoes dauphinois. Which helps.
Am I being ungrateful? Possibly. Anyway I had better try to be useful now.
Enjoy the sports - forgot to mention - small thing really, house went on market last Friday - sold today - am I a vagrant?Sounds as though today requires a mahoosive group hug for humings and felines. Cut fingers, overbooked Pilates, #foodgate, moody days ( Danny Dyer ???) and generally dealing with The D in WoosterworldI intend to drink my tea, eat my salad - with avo-, ogle Ho, ho,ho lympics, cricket and rugby, move about somewhat, fit a new sensor and sleep. Have a spiffing day chums but respect "the situation"
Congratulations on the speedy house sale. Downsizing, bigger palace with more social distance or just fancy a move (abroad)? Absolutely none of my business but we are virtual friends.Enjoy the sports - forgot to mention - small thing really, house went on market last Friday - sold today - am I a vagrant?
Popeye sounds just like my dad.
Hugs for the damaged appendages @dunelmGood morning everyone from a quiet after the rain start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of supervising Mr Pickle to make a bolognese sauce came in at 5.3 this am
Cut my middle finger on left hand ( not looking what I was doing making small dice carrot) and then an annoying cut on my right thumb (micro grating parmesan) - touch typing has never felt this good. The life of a Commis Chef is fraught with with danger.
Art bit - my mother commented yesterday that there is a saying in Chinese painting and it is this; “leave enough space in your painting for a horse and cart”. OK mum, here you go. Have a fabulous Saturday if you can. I need some koffy.

Smaller house - two flights of stairs may become an issue in a few years time - and then there is the potential for flooding in some coastal areas if the sea continues to rise at the same rate: https://coastal.climatecentral.org/Congratulations on the speedy house sale. Thank you @gennepher - always trying to do my best for my mum - even in jest
Hug for the lack of poultry produce but such fun for the attitude.Just went out earlier to buy some eggs, and a hot cooked chicken.
No eggs???
No hot cooked chicken, nor chicken portions.
Why? I asked.
There's been none for weeks he said.
You mean even hens go on a summer holiday? I asked.
No reply.
Can I get you anything else ? He said.
All that was on the hot cooked meat counter were ham shanks and Cumberland sausages. It was virtually empty at 9:30am this Saturday morning. It is usually mostly full of chicken.
Two Cumberland sausages and a ham shank I replied.
It looks like the poor pig doesn't get a holiday like the chicken appears to...
I was assuming she meant empty space @dunelmThank you @gennepher - always trying to do my best for my mum - even in jest
Best wishes for the move. I have found downsizing "challenging" as you may have noticed. Hope you adjust better than I have.Smaller house - two flights of stairs may become an issue in a few years time - and then there is the potential for flooding in some coastal areas if the sea continues to rise at the same rate: https://coastal.climatecentral.org/
Don't know if I would manage it Ian?...Best wishes for the move. I have found downsizing "challenging" as you may have noticed. Hope you adjust better than I have.
Technically, I was there for at least some part of the year from June 1955 until Feb 2020. It is the space around me I miss most. I think I pressed the panic button too early on hearing the C word. I don't "do" people too well except very close family, sports team colleagues and last Church congregation. How is the eye these days?Don't know if I would manage it Ian?...
been here since 1966.
I am hoping when I leave I will go as a boxed set!
The eye is doing ok, Ian, thank you. I just have one eyed glasses atm but the right will need some astigmatism correction.Technically, I was there for at least some part of the year from June 1955 until Feb 2020.
