4.0 this morning. Probably the last really low fbs for the rest of August as a break from classes until 2nd September. It will be really interesting to see what happens to fbs during that time.

Yesterday was really 'full on'. Thank goodness for whey protein powder as I only had a five minute break which was just long enough to add water to it and gulp it down and my energy levels didn't flag until I finished at 6pm.
A well deserved break young lady. WPP is clearly the whey forward, Do you buy in or from bulk?:angelic:

Just had a thought. I wonder if I stop using my exercise bike as a clothes horse and actually use it as an exercise bike it will help me to avoid going 'to pot' over this staycation.

I started by buying from Bulk. It was a really good WPP at a good price, but then decided to get it from Pink Sun as they do organic and I am trying to go more organic.

We are off to Gooderstone water gardens this morning - so Mr K will definitely get his sausage roll. I feel that it gentle walk around the water gardens is as much as I can manage today. Hopefully the rain holds off.

Absolutely teeming with rain here.
Went out to feed Jade and Merryweather and got soaked to the skin, but before I changed into dry clothes I grabbed my Pixel phone and took one quick shot of this raindrop at the end of Buddliea flower that needs deadheading. I had to get back in quick before phone got drowned.

Not a perfect shot. I would liked to have taken several shots to get more detail in the raindrop. I will try again later...

All is well here...

good morning everyone from an overcast day with vague promises of light rain at noon here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of Mr Pickles famous supervised steaks came in at 5.4 this am.
Bavette steaks (or flank if you will) - one quarter of a stock cube (I use oxo) crumbled and rubbed into each side, then a dribble of oil. Leave for 20 minutes and then two and a half minutes on each side - rest in the plate warming drawer - easy as wink. Peppercorn sauce, sparrow-grass, green beans and chips (six for me - boo hoo).

Lots of guests adding to the laundry pile here; youngest son still hanging about trying to get his newly purchased house in order, Mr Pickle who will be going home today after his footy match and the girl in the bubble seeing if a Saturday stay over is any different from any other night.

Art bit - thought I would do some trees - I like trees, here’s on. Have a smashing Sunday, koffy time here.

Love this tree @dunelm
Trees are a favourite for me as well.
Plenty of room for a horse and cart on this one :)

For those of you who enjoy dark chocolate (not me) and nuts (another usually on my no thanks list) this range may be of interest. I have been using these as a supplement to make Cronometer's trickier nutes and vits fall in line. As a side effect they seem to be transit friendly - TMI?. The same company sell, what I consider to be, good ready meals. Ideal for when The Food Fairy deserts her post such as September when she is orf to Wales to fly with MIL in a helicopter for 21 month delayed 90th birthday experience and see relatives. Julie's dad hailed from Nefyn. I've been maybe a handful of times but hills, seaside and rain are really not my environment of comfort. Dog sitting is a wonderful alibi:angelic: - should be loads of football and rugby as well. Tough old life.

Thank you @gennepher, I am now wondering about how small a horse and cart could be - or how big? Is there a scale?
Size is a relative concept @dunelm
Hazarding a guess, I would say around the one third of blank paper mark...but maybe that is an English/Western thought @dunelm
If I am being pedantic I might say go by the golden mean/section.
But I am not a mathematician, drives me mad.
I think it is what is pleasing to the eye, your eye, my eye...and that is the right answer...

But I do have a small Chinese book on just art and painting (translated to English) which has a lot of philosophical thought in it...I haven't seen it in awhile. There might be something in that...

Interesting name for the new supplier. These guys may interest you I use their Chia seeds protein powder in my protein and fibre "parridge". I was just reading their blurbs on wild lettuce and Irish sea lettuce, as you do. This seems far more likely to deliver longevity than Diet Dr/keto to my, admittedly biased, eyes but sadly T2 needs managing. Others achieve amazing benefits from DD/Keto so who knows? Shorter, more miserable but D complication free life is my aspiration for now.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are enjoying our August wet wave.

A young wet behind the ears 6.1 this morning on that scheming meter of mystery and unpredictability.

On a sad note one of my cordless drills committed suicide yesterday afternoon, it had had a hard long productive working life, it was struggling to get a grip on drill bits, but burning out is not a nice way to go. The smell and smoke were terrible. Me and me's will give it a good "send off".
Unfortunately one of grandchildren was using the drill at the time, alerting me to the problem with those words " Grandad should the drill be smoking?"
Funeral announcement to follow, no swarf, no offcuts and family only.

Now I'm sure you will understand if I disappear and commune with the internetty, Screwfix, Toolstation Web sites.

Have a great day, bulk buy if you feel the need, above all else stay safe.

Own up, which one of you is harbouring the malefactor who stole summer? No guesses as to my chief suspect:angelic: Gap week for Swipey (or summer going awol) may be implicated in other key variables performing well in the medals table. Resting pulse and weight are currently in a sweet spot - wonder where bg is and how one calculates the overall performance?. Is this a Kieran, Madison or Omnium? Low carbing plus monitoring may well be necessary but absolutely not sufficient for broader wellbeing, although that is pandering to my long held bias. Besides, cherries are divine. Have the most joyous time with your son, Mr Pickle and The GITB @dunelm. I hope today's walk and vital sausage roll for Mr K is outrageously wonderful @Krystyna23040. Stock brined chicken roasted in a bag - reduced by W.....se- for Sunday lunch with wife and MIL here. Is that methane friendly? After our COVID quick test yesterday we all visited the new dinky P. Granddad gave a masterclass in totally chilling out the little chap. Why, I even drank a small glass of celebratory bubbles. Mayhap I shall try champagne today since it is drink or pour away for all this alkeroll littering the place - I had no idea we had champagne (W.....se, natch) loitering around until madam hove into view with a few.:banghead: Y'all have a good day now - old Forest Heath phrase. I'm slowly picking up the dialect.:angelic:

At least it will be difficult to set our country on fire now!
This C of E service from Cambridge was rather nice this morning, Ian.

Hi Alf,
At least you will have a spare charger and battery. I have yet to replace a Bosch screwdriver/drill that decided I had given it the last straw.

Indigo Herbs looks like a really good company. Thank you for the link.
