What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A great finish to the ink drawing @dunelm
Enjoy that coffee...

Fbg 6.6

I did have another picture worked out last night for today, but as I was in bed preparing it, a huge black cat came up to my bed and asked with his huge big wide eyes, if he could jump on the bed. I said yes.
Carefully he lay besides me on the edge of the bed. Then ever so slowly he creeps on to my lap...

He has just been kneading me...

Midnight has everything he wants now.

Creative is a photo of Midnight

He actually photographs very well for a black cat, because his fur is very shiny.

Oh my goodness.....what a lovely moment.

(Darn onions..who cuts onions at this time of the morning. )

I so love a happy ending .

And now it's time to begin you & midnight's new journey.

Great point re colour...
He does stand out.

Our belles was nearly always just a black blob, as is Marley, anytime I took pics

Magnificent photo

What a special moment @gennepher!

Thanks @jjraak
He does photograph well

Hello everyone from a still arid little America. So far neither the thunder storms of which we were warned nor the promised isolated showers. Parts of The Real Fens had a drenching yesterday but this part of the world seems to be a rain free zone. @dunelm the finished artwork is quite magnificent, thank you. @gennepher Midnight seems to be slowly assuming the role of Popeye in your life if never quite in your heart. @Krystyna23040 stunning fbg and demonstration that careful off piste trips may temporarily raise bg but don't have long term impact. I'm relieved Mr K may finally be getting a well deserved sausage roll. @jjraak hug for the onion moment and the dilemma of family social. I hope the CT scan goes well. A different brother and sister grandchild combo here today. We have already had a video call with an 18 month old girl who had an operation to remove a cyst yesterday. She seems to be unaware and unaffected by the whole thing. Thanks be to God. For those enjoying rain good for you. As always, take care and hydrate well heat or not.

You are right, Midnight is doing Popeye things @ianpspurs
I am very fond of him...
We need more rain here as well...

Smashing. How good is that.

Thank you @ianpspurs and all the very best to the 18 month old girl.

Really good that you had a lovely evening and good that you are continuing with the PTSD therapy. You are definitely making good progress.

Lovely picture of Midnight. I am sure that Popeye would approve of Midnight becoming chief indoor cat with all the perks that come with the job.

Good that your grandchild is unaware and unaffected by the cyst removal yesterday.
Mr K decided that he couldn't face a sausage roll after such a huge breakfast at the hotel so had a coffee and a piece of National Trust shortbread for lunch. I threw caution to the wind and had another ice cream. This definitely stops today as it is the last day of our little holiday.
We had a lovely walk on Dunwich Heath but it was rather sad that the heather hadn't flowered this year because of the drought. Instead of swathes of purple heather it was acres of brown heather.

Good late afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are offended by the woke lovers being offended by the aunty woke lovers, me, me’s and myself is offended by my lack of koffy.
.
I have been sulking today because my blood sugars this morning were 4.1 and I couldn’t kick start my steam driven sliderule into action, I had to resort to 7 figure log tables then aunty log tables, tea bag reading and not only but also a good old guesstimate to establish my insulin dosage.
.
Reading through some of the post a few of us are in kneed of hugs, hugs being sent. This afternoon I joined our illustrious band of painters, I Doug the dulex tin out and painted our house number on the recycling bins ready fore national bin day. Very satisfying.
I shall wish you all a pleasant evening and go and read Fahrenheit 451 where all dictionaries have bean burnt.
This next bit will test your knowledge of red top newspapers.
Alf BA Calcutta ( failed ).

We had a lovely little holiday but it is so very nice to be back home. When we walked through our front door Poppy got so excited to be back home she started bouncing around like a baby lamb. Archie curled up on his day bed in the conservatory and hasn't moved since we got in.

Good news on the cyst removal ...
And the resilience of small children, thank God.

Bless her.
