What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I took the attached to be metallic but I'm just odd.
Ah!
Those are crystals hanging from my door, one has a foil 'butterfly' attached. And the 'Believe' sign which I absolutely love, is a cheap plastic Xmas decoration!

Here it is as a straight photo...

Thank you for womansplaining :D

Well bless ma soul.....

Only got a whooping blooming whooping...FIVE.....

Admittedly a 5 ...point 9.

But I'm calling that my first 5 since surviving the hit put on me, by the VDAC*

A full on day yesterday.
Walking practice & exercise for me, furry nephew in tow.

Local cemetery, our first visit since you know what.

A while looking at nieces car, not starting ..checked all fuses etc battery just waiting on a relay to arrive before sending for Dr mechanic.

All more tortoise then hare, but I got there .

Long walk back in and around cemetery, THEN our handsome boy, scurried past our turning, determinedly heading for doggie park...ok little fella, this is you walk too i thought, despite my legs feeling like I had lead shoes on.

A chat to another doggie owner, furry nephew anointed all the previous wee spots , and left a small offering for the Doggie Gods for forgiveness .
(Had rolled on foxy doo at cemetery  )

Which I placed in the designated bin.

A gentle walk home.

A dinner of curry & cauli, with a naughty but very nice naan bread.
Absolutely famished before, but stuffed afterwards.

Only a bit of cheese before walk to stave of a little shaky feeling, so felt the naan excess worked inside my own carb control limits.

So very achey from yesterday, but elated at the scores on the doors.

A touch over 6k steps, way off the prescribed limits or the old me, but mega, mega, mega from the 60 & 600 scoring I was getting post hospital.

Any one wanna join my little sing song today...? :)

:woot: :woot: For the fbg and step count not forgetting the upbeat tone of the post. Enjoy the feeling and don't be tempted to repeat that every day for a while. Savour the view from that hilltop for a while before the next climb.

Good morning everyone from week two of the back pain course. Nightmare yesterday - Pilates taster session in the morning by the descendant of a medieval torturer (a whole hour!) and pool exercises in the afternoon (45 minutes) - mercy, mercy! Interesting session on sleep and using movement as a therapy to improve function.
Nothing for me today as I am attending a funeral. Art bit - more detail added. Have the best day that you can have. Time for some koffy.

Ouchey Ouchey, indeed.

Lauren does Pilates, & did say they have different class categories, beginners, intermediate, advanced & Marquis de Sadé.

Hope the rumours not true, but it is said the python crew do the feedback sessions at that level. ... :wideyed:

Good luck .

Brilliant @jjraak
Absolutely amazing...

I can see why .

I recognised the believe sign,, once I homed in, but for a moment I did wonder if it was the dials off your mobility scooter @gennepher .
My mobility scooter only has one dial @jjraak
There is a tortoise at one end of the dial, and at the other end of the dial it has a hare.
I tried the hare setting when I first got it...
Never again...
Me and the scooter parted company...
Luckily no one saw it, or I would have been mortified if someone had rescued me...
And the mobility scooter was on top of me.
Not easy to get out of, but I did. Scooter still worked, and so did I. I examined my grazes and bruises when I got home...

Well bless ma soul.....

Marvelous all round - you deserve a sing song

Good morning everyone from another day in the escape room. Today it’s a taster session for yoga. New slang for all things broken has appeared on the tinter net -“It’s Liz Trussed” (optional addition of ‘innit’). Ah, the youth of today. Who can fathom what they are going on about?
Art bit - Let’s have a bit of orange in our lives and dream of Jaffa cakes. All the very best for today, I hope that it is a good one for you. As usual, I shall now indulge in Korey.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all those who had fluffy bunny slippers as a child.
Bloods sugars yesterday were 4.8 and immediately after 4.5, yep yesterday was not good as I was very active and a diabetic eye screening.
Blood sugars this morning were 4.9 whoops as I have to drive today.

Some interesting art work from our regulars @gennepher and @dunelm keep up the good work and thank you. It’s nice to see fellow greaser @jjraak is making steady progress.
We are awaiting the arrival of a cooker repair man the time window was / is 07:15 to 10:15, Mrs J is up showered and dressed, 07:15 is an unknown time for Mrs J these days, luckily I have made her a tea which will have a calming influence, I hope.
.
Now it is time for me to do another covid test prior to my plinky plonky lesson today and also cram a little last minute practice in.
.
Stay safe all and it seems the BBC’s stir up another Tory leadership campaign is gaining momentum to be closely followed by let’s cause an election. Silly me, me’s and myself thought the BBC’s mandate was to report news.

Thank you @alf_Josiah and sorry to see such low readings for you. BBC mandate for reporting news was torn up and shredded well before it’s 100th birthday. “The News” is just another chat show with the Unique Selling Point of brining on guests who are specifically chosen not to know anything about the topic being chatted about. What a lark!

Cheers @alf_Josiah

Ouch for the lows.
Hope screening went ok .

Good luck on gas repair visit
Could pretend when you open the door it's like an advent calendar ?

Should freak out the repair guy.
( try not to get too excited )

19.10... where has the month gone?
8.10am FBG 5.1
Has been awful for a few days In the sixes and even one seven. I know why - need to get evening eating under control again..
Family continues to have health issues. Grandson has has blood test and ultrasound, blood test went well, ultrasound violently objected to the gel. Now waiting on results. Should be later this week. Meanwhile my mother has had a nasty fall, it's going to take weeks to recover and my sister who lives near to her is in America for three weeks. This is leaving all her care to my cousin who lives quite near and my brother ( 100 miles away) Huge guilt trip going on here. Small kitten who has her own health issues also needs me...
MrSlim says I could take the car... that leaves him stuck. Foot passenger fare is less expensive, but then I would need a way to get to the Midlands...There is no clear way forward.

MAGNIFICENT...BRAVO .

And as for things being totally trussed up....

Westminster of late's been like an old school music hall...

We've had the comedy act, now it's medley time, this week it's chicago.

A tale of murder, corruption & pure greed.

Truss plays Roxy hart.
A clip showing hunt in his 'supporting' role & the media playing their role was well received.

But as it was a one (wo)man show.

She also performs as Mrs Cellophane

Critics gave it a one star review, even the telegraph says it stinks, but hey-ho...it's still playing.

Lyrics Mr cellophane

You couldn't make it up.. :hilarious: :hilarious:

Enjoy that yoga!
A very long way down, even more so with colour...

5.5 this morning.

Yesterday was a bit of a s**t day. There was a crash and a huge spillage of human excrement on the A47. The road was closed and we were all turned round. I tried to cut through to the Mattishall road along tiny single track roads. Got hopelessly lost and ended back at the crash site.

On the single track road I had to pull into a sort of passing place and didn't see a small tree stump in the grass which ripped a skirting thingy off the side of my car.

I managed to get onto the Mattishall Road which is a narrow country road. It was bedlam with all the A47 traffic on it. I finally got to work - my journey took almost 2 hours.

I hope you can resolve it quickly...
