What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

But to get on they always have to preach to the party hymn sheet.
With exceptions. Party hymn sheet per call me Dave and Gideon was remain. Pence wouldn't support the nonsense. Geoffrey Howe dealt Thatcher a mortal blow. Hezza stood up to her. Churchill was in and out of parties.

Agreed.

And don't forget the dreadful conditions they have to work under.

The humiliation of a much hated 'fire & rehire' policy

Which ( unlike many other industries) has the added Hindrance you have to be 'Resigned' for a sackable offence, before being rehired within days or weeks.

You know, like speaking to a foreign government privately.

It's not all big wages, bungs & lavish expense accounts....mmhh.

Oh wait, yes..it is

How silly of me ......

A bit late this morning, because Midnight came to my bed in the night upset. He'd had a kerfuffle with something. So, when I was sure the garden was clear of wildlife at dawn this morning, I went out and got the SD cards, I downloaded them but they didn't show me anything that Midnight might been involved in. He had a bit of missing fur but nothing serious. So he's been in clinging to mum mode so far today, and so I am behind in everything.

This is the video I made this morning from last night's SD cards.

Fox & Badger & Cats
This greedy fox ate all the biscuits I had put out for the stray cats...

Forgot to link the video...here it is...now I do need that nap...

I have been using my hand massaging machine to try and leave my arthritis in my hands.

I found you could use a glove, not a surgical glove, but one of those looser plastic gloves, put handcream on your hands, put the glove on, put hand in the hand massager, and it massages the cream in beautifully. It is quite nice actually...

So, I was able to paint the Creative today which is Lighthouse #27 painted in Procreate.

Now I am ready for a nap...

Have your best day...

Lighthouse 27 - smashing

good morning everyone from under a clear blue sky (at last) here in French Froggy France. The rain that we have experienced for the past couple of days has stopped and there is the anticipation of some good weather. Not that rain is bad of course, unless you are a lifetime member of The Gobi Desert Canoe Club. Despite the rain, just over 5 miles was achieved over the day with two trips out between the drizzles and the deluges. I think that most steps were taken inside shops as Mrs Miggins was searching for a pair of shoes and there were of course several wine bars needing consideration to keep up her/our/my spirits. It’s market day today and then lunch out with my parents. Art bit - a doodle at the kitchen table. Have a day of today, I shall open a new pack of koffy and stick some in the cafetière.

I am not really much into politics, Ian.
I have seen how unions work, I don't like manipulation of people or any abuse of power.

I happen to think we are pushing this planet into an unsustainable condition and we haven't got the message yet.
D.

Good morning @dunelm,
Blue skies and the cold of early morning in the Northern Spring.
White frost over the garden and adjacent countryside.

Must take our old microwave and few other small items to the local recycling centre this am.
D

..
We have a promising 15 degrees of Celsius today. Do you need to book a slot at the recycling centre?

Midnight wouldn't come in last night, so I locked up, and then saw out of the window that he was scent marking everywhere. Presume it against his arch enemy, whoever that is. I don't think anyone has told Midnight that since he is neutered, it doesn't have a scent to it at all...
But he came in completely satisfied with what he had done, and he slept on me on my bed all night.
Because he stayed on my bed all night and didn't react any sound outside, I made the wrongful assumption nothing was going on outside.
Dawn broke and I'm like OMG, what the heck happened in the night.

I had managed to tie down half the bedding onto the swing, but I ran out of rope and the bit where the food was. I couldn't tie up yet..
That bit had several layers pulled off, and it had been strewn everywhere.
Pots were upturned in my vegetable garden, strewn around, and more stuff all over the garden...
A animal water feeder under the swing had been dismantled....
The list goes on...

I had bought an extending fireguard to protect the swing and cat bedding, but I won't be using it for that. It's going to be used for protecting my vegetable garden because I stand no chance with that badger around having any kind of container vegetable garden.

And Midnight seems okay this morning. His confidence has returned, and he's not jumpy anymore. He is on the swing defending the dry cat food I put out there this morning from Marmalade. Marmalade could be his arch enemy. Marmalade has been sent packing. I have no worries about Marmalade finding food because there are several photographs on the Internet saying 'Who is this cat? iIt is eating all my cat' food...' Marmalade is one of the biggest, most well fed cats I have ever seen.

And with Midnight sleeping on my bed all night, I was able to examine every inch of his fur and I did find two small pinhole scratches, and I am assuming this is from another cat, and I was able to treat them so hopefully no abscesses will happen.

Both SD cards were presumably completely full this morning, because all the batteries were depleted in both cameras, so there'll be plenty of footage recorded of the criminal who wrecked the swing last night.

Presumably I am going to need a Badger lineup to identify the culprit....

I have no time to edit at the moment, so here is an unpublished one done about three weeks ago, where badger, KissyKissy is trying to get biscuits off the swing.

3 Foxes and Badger
This badger is trying to get on the swing, ends up hanging on the swing as it is swinging, falls down and hurts his back leg and is seen limping away.
But don't worry, the next night he was walking absolutely just fine.

Creative is Lighthouse #28
I was having a bit of silly fun with this one....

It is now time for a well earned cup of tea...

I am just going to the wildlife cameras with recharged batteries and blank SD cards to record whatever happens with interactions between Midnight and other cats during the day, so I can see if there's anything I have to be aware of.

Have a good day!

Funny for the lighthouse - beautifully done and very light hearted. That's not a desperate light keeper, it's a ghost of light keepers past.

Shame about the mess that badger is making of your cat provisions. You'll need something pretty sturdy to keep him away from your containers. Not sure that a fire-guard will do the trick. You can only try, I suppose.

Oh no - you are definitely going to need a Badger lineup to identify the culprit....

Really good to hear that Midnight is doing Ok today. I do love your lighthouses - especially this one.

Thank you @Annb

I can only try ...

Why is this particular badger so intent on MY garden!!!

Good morning all on local, not Grand nor National, bin day in Dampy McDampface High Town. Yes, there really are signs welcoming one to M high town - all of 10 mtrs above sea level and distinctly left behind. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art again. I find this genre? to my taste. I'm a pure white or very pale colour, especially blue, kinda chap but I'm just odd so pay me no heed. Yesterday sounds wonderful but then France just is, in my experience. (Regrets, I've had a few but let's not go there.) @gennepher badger protection, in my experience anyhow, involves concrete, foundations, strong posts, corrugated tin and heartache but best wishes. Thanks for the latest lighthouse. Is it wrong of me, who isn't much of a fan of them, to find the birds steal the show? @Krystyna23040 sounds like a wonderful start to the weekend. @lindisfel I hope the trip to the recycling centre goes well and doesn't overtire you. As for the planet, yes mankind is a poor custodian but I'm pretty sure that was always known (this is effectively Easter Saturday but that doesn't give us licence to trash the joint) and version two will be a revelation - behold I make all things new. Go well folks though some do say it is the hope that kills. I think having none kills one from the inside but what do I know, what do I know.

Badger protection has been a losing game the last 20 years or so since I have been in this property. The badgers were digging tunnels underneath the fence line into my property when I first arrived...
The only thing that worked, up to a point, was chickenwire. Because if I blocked one entrance way, the badgers just found another entrance way....
It was a never ending battle and still is @ianpspurs
I have plans for my container vegetable garden.....
