I know. Always overplant in case of failure to germinate. Too tenderhearted to destroy a healthy looking seedling, so sometimes get more than needed. Then there were the beautiful traditional variety tomatoes I bought. Had no idea if any seeds would germinate so planted six or more of each variety. There are 7 varieties, plus the 3 types I grew from packaged seed. Then I realised none of the above are cherry type and there were seedlings growing in the pots previously occupied by the red and yellow cherry toms. So those had to be rescued and put in pots before the used compost was dug into the garden... thus 85 tomato plants. Don't get me started on what happened, or didn't, with the peppers. Currently 9 plants and two bunches of seedlings. Plus several pots planted with packet seeds that appear to have failed for the second time@SlimLizzy 85 Tomato plants!!!
I only have 8!
I am transplanting two tomato plants today...
I am not supposed to eat them, but I love a tomato for a treat on a hot summers day, and they are sun kissed all the way through!
Thank you so much gennepher that was the kind of sensible advice I was looking for!The balance is, not to think you can do all of it like you used to or as much as you can before you stop.
Someone gave me this bit of advice about 15 years ago... and it is to 'to do something like 3 to 5 minutes at a time', then stop, maybe have a cup of tea, and try again later.
I can hear you grumbling that won't get the job done!
But at least you are still breathing on this Earth ready to do the next bit.
It may end up taking a few days, but at least you are still here, and here for Marjorie.
I still haven't given in to this advice gracefully, but I do stick to it most of the time @lindisfel
And I am still here to mither you all....

Wonder if you can give surplus to neighbours and French Language group?I know. Always overplant in case of failure to germinate. Thanks Alf but it was my way of saying I thought a liberty was taken with all the "add on" charges for nearly everything apart from walking around looking at a few farm animals. Wasn't made clear when buying a family ticket. I hope the bbq went well.Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and those who struggle to accept the messages their body is giving them, a big failing of me, me’s and myself.
Blood sugars this morning were 5.5
Firstly a hug for @ianpspurs , I sincerely hope you did not get your pockets picked yesterday.
I finally managed to get 2 rides on my motorcycle yesterday was 42 miles and the day before was 18. Mrs J has banned me from riding today and later we are consuming bbq fodder, that’s going to blow my blood sugars along with the fodder timing.
Sorry but it is now time for my afternoon nap, a privilege granted to the old and according to Mrs J grumpy.
Stay safe
Making you right, there .Thanks Alf but it was my way of saying I thought a liberty was taken with all the "add on" charges for nearly everything apart from walking around looking at a few farm animals. Wasn't made clear when buying a family ticket. I hope the bbq went well.
Hi @Krystyna23040Today was a sort out phones day. We took phones in to EE in Norwich (not WE as predictive text insists on calling them).
While waiting for them to transfer we shopped in Notcutts and Lakeland and then had a coffee. There was a problem with the transfer so we came back home as doggies needed lunch.
Went back later to pick up phones. Everything transferred but of course there were some passwords to enter. Haven't quite finished them all but the most important are done - my Fitbit app and the email accounts. It did take me longer than I thought it would.
Thank goodness that EE did all the transferring of apps, contacts, messages, what's app etc etc and I have only had to add a few passwords.
Nasturtiums did self seed this year but too early in February so the later frosts in March got most of them. I have about four growing now and am treating them as if they are rare and special.Quite a few packet seeds fail.
This year I had to plant many extra nasturtium seeds.
And about 1 in 8 grew.
Not good innings is it?
Years ago they self seeded like nobody's business.
Sigh...
Have tried this. Managed to give away 8 tomato plants and a padron pepper plant. Others say they are over supplied themselves, or they don't do gardening. Am thinking of putting a table by the gate with a sign, "GRATIS"Wonder if you can give surplus to neighbours and French Language group?
Smashing and it looks like it is on some posh textured paper. Very nice.Fbg 7.1

Good idea - my mum does that from time to time.Have tried this. Managed to give away 8 tomato plants and a padron pepper plant. Others say they are over supplied themselves, or they don't do gardening. Am thinking of putting a table by the gate with a sign, "GRATIS"
Maybe that is what happened to mine then @SlimLizzyNasturtiums did self seed this year but too early in February so the later frosts in March got most of them. I have about four growing now and am treating them as if they are rare and special.
That sounded a beautiful walk @dunelmGood morning everyone from a cool and cloudy start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. FB 5.3 at 0730. There is a squirrel on a bird feeder across the road. Cheeky thing has it all worked out and is having a whale of a time. Girl In The Bubble yesterday so it was down through the woods on her trike. Picked garlic leaves and a few of the flowers. Most have already turned and the leaves won’t last much longer. The toot toot sound of the miniature railway came through the trees so we had to get on and do the return trip from the woods down to the coast - it’s about 10 minutes. Saw a couple of sparrow hawks from the cliff path, wonder if they were a breeding pair - where would the nest be? Just over 5 miles. Art bit - coming along. Hope everyone has a pleasant day. My kofee is now brewed and ready to be poured.
