Where are you all?
Past 9am here and no posts since yesterday afternoon.
MrSlim is glad to see the back of No Mow May and is out there on the mower. Even abandoning his current project in favour of dealing with the long grass. We cant take part in the research part of the NMM project being in france, but i think its worth doing anyway. However next year will be in a more contained area so as too discourage pests near to the vegetable plots. Since we have 1.5 acres and half of that is only cut three times a year. It wont be a great reduction in area.
I am off to the nearby town market before it gets too hot
Have a care for your skins. Use sunscreen.
Edited to add:
Some of you.sneaked in a post while I was writing this, glad to know there is still life on the thread.

The tech savvy nighttime cat biscuit (and tray as well ) stealer has struck again. And doesn't appear on my trail camera. The cat tray of food is there one minute, and in less than a blink of an eye, it is gone.

My daughter is coming to stay next month, and she'll be sleeping in the next room. I don't think she'll be happy with half the countryside coming into the bungalow at night.

I need to change something...

Wildlife cameras.
Two very short (much less than a minute clips) on the Magpie in daytime.

Magpie on the Swing - Whereabouts are those darn cats? (32 secs)

Magpie - Is that a camera? Is this my best side? (15 secs)

Creative was complicated to create.
Original photo was of my blueberry flowers from a month ago (the bush is full of berries now).
Then I tried to do a painting of it.
Failed miserably. But saved all the different versions.
Tried the original photo through various photo apps.
Failed miserably because none got the essence of that blueberry flower.
Tried using double exposure feature in Snapseed, putting double exposure over double exposure of all these different versions, and altering the settings for each double exposure.
Still failed.
Then I had the idea of photographing my bedroom light above me (yes I am in bed, it is the middle of the night, and I am not sleeping), and tried it as a double exposure. Didn't work well, so I saved the original photo of all the double exposures, put the photo of the light on first, and then the other double exposures on top.
And here is the finished product.
Unusually for me, I am pleased with what I managed to create.
Because it had the essence of what I wanted, and I was finally tired enough to go to sleep....

Have your best day.
A cuppa is next, and maybe a quick nap (to give me some energy....)

I got sunburn yesterday despite being covered, only face and hands showing, and they had loads of sun cream. And I was wearing my wide brimmed sun hat hat!

The mystery of the night stalker - perhaps a figure 4 box trap attached to a camera? Lovely creative.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all variations on a theme……..of Paganini. Bet you thought I’d gone all woke.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.1 I didn’t say thank you to the devious meter.

Busy old day so far and will be for the rest of the day, we have the grandchildren for the day, me me’s and myself have a plinky plonky lesson later today, Mrs J who is up and about has PLANs, my plinky plonky lesson will be a safe time. I Should be finishing off a bit of Hans Zimmer and moving on to a little Wagner, Ride of the Valkyries.

Now the indoor rain cabinet is calling, plinky plonky practice, breakfast and medication, no not all at once thankfully.

Stay safe all
Oh now it’s guess the Hans Zimmer music - Kung Fu Panda? Rain Man? Batman Begins - so many to think about, I may run out of Kofee.

Good morning everyone from another day of overcast sky here in the dark and dangerous north. A reading of 5.2 this morning does not reflect what we had for early dinner with some of the grandchildren. Mrs Miggins has already left the building. Off to have a CT scan - what fun! Just set up our 30 year old Vita-Mix to make a batch of cauliflower and broccoli rice. The latest model has a pulse function but flicking the on/off switch is cheaper. That squirrel has been back at the bird feeder over the road - must let my neighbours know about that. Art bit - finished the detailing. There was not much left to do. The sun is having a good go at breaking through. Have a smashing day if you can. More Koffee needed.

The construction is beginning to remind me of a Hebridean broch. Not anything like it really - too many openings, but the shape is similar.

I have some images of the broch at Carloway but the file is too large to be uploaded. They can be seen at:

Morning all from a sunny north Wales on the morning after a splendid gathering of Welsh and English relatives of MIL/JKP. For reasons best known to themselves I have an open invitation to the local community owned pub where I will always be welcome. The 2 poorly girls are recovering but will take today slowly. We are off to collect a waterproof backpack with pockets for drinks bottles after #coffeewreckedtabletgate. @gennepher those videos are amazingly clear and have lovely colours. That creative is stunning and the description of the process is remarkable. @dunelm I hope Mrs Miggins' scan goes well and thanks for the creative which does look very like the broch @Annb linked. Have your own kind of wonderful Wednesday.

8.2 this morning. Annoyingly high - especially as my evening reading was really good.

Had a lovely day yesterday. Lunch was delicious salmon with my absolute favourite vegetables - cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli. I took my Montezuma's peanut butter 100% chocolate as my dessert. Mr K had steak and mushroom pie and apple crumble.

I love my new phone. The camera is brilliant - it zooms in and out and you can adjust lots of settings to take the perfect photo. Yesterday I ordered a new kindle fire as my current one is getting quite old.

I don't have a greenhouse but I do find that teaching Pilates does give me a really good excuse to avoid house work.
Ah, but @Krystyna23040 your Pilates is a useful financial exercise. So it's a reason to avoid housework, not an excuse. Whereas my greenhouse cost €€€s and has so far supplied six portions of mangetout and one runner bean...

Thank you @ianpspurs - the scan is just a routine thing, as these things go.

Actually, the most important thing is that we both really enjoy what we are doing not the financial cost or gain.

Your greenhouse will produce lots of food in the future and that will contribute to saving the planet. No food miles, grown with minimal chemicals and also providing an enjoyable and healthy activity.

I worked for many years in admin at our local City College and I hated doing admin and it was such a happy, but scary, day when I left to start teaching pilates - which I really love (apart from the admin which I have managed to delegate as much as I can to my sister and of course Mr K lends a hand).

Afternoon, people of another timezone.

Scorchio hot here now, but started out a little overcast

Been in for my hydrotherapy session.

Lauren keeps on about some cold freeze guru....doubt I need him, water on entry FREEEEZING.

But you warm up quick enough once moving.

Lots of back & forward in the shallows replace the gym rehab, and I threw in a little walking resistance while in the water.

Holiday is really rejuvenating.
Think it's just at such a relaxing pace that everything seems to hurt less

Done a little round up, and like most holidays the costs have increased everywhere, so pleasantly surprised that while we've certainly not skipped anything, (it's a real foodie paradise ) and booked one trip, week one we've averaged a decent £55 a day spend.

Exceptional value at the women's cooperative restaurant
Probably the best lamb chops I have ever had, some deliciously meaty prawns (and plenty of them)
And an assortment of starters a decent carafe of house red, circa £30/£36* for two.

*Cost of the two meals we had there so far.

Viva life.
Viva living.
