5.1 very good
Have a good day everyone
Haha he still has a half chewed pine cone in his mouth!
5.4 this morning. Much happier with that than yesterday’s mid 6 but no idea what I did differently!
Sympathies with @PenguinMum and @HarrisonK it makes very little sense.
Nice to see you back @ianpspurs
A bit of ultraviolent I think.
I never went away just couldn't see lots of posts from regular posters - I have had a longish run of good (for me) numbers. Congratulations on the lower fasting level today.
Say nothing Dennis...make no admissions...that pine cone was obviously planted on him...if you need a brief get back to me.
Yesterday I had one of the foodstuffs I had really missed...a huge plate of Spaghetti & Bolognese sauce (home made) I used the organic soya spaghetti (picture below) I have tried other non wheat pasta but this is the best one I have had so far.
It works out at 12.9 carbs per 100 grams...so my small handful at approximately 25 grams ( a huge portion I would use less for one person on the next occasion) worked out to just under 4 grams of carbs & 83 calories minus the Bolognese sauce...I may put this on the what did you eat thread...I have tried the Aldi one which was fine however this one is the best alternative to wheat pasta I have tried (as yet)
Thanks Ian... am definitely happy with the results especially considering less than a year ago my HbA1C was 11.8%. Now with 6% i am not sure of incremental benefits of lowering further. So it is about maintenance and avoiding falling back to old bad habits. My fasting numbers still not low enough, daytime numbers are good. So, let’s see how things move. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend ahead
Well done Shas...meant to say earlier post. Its great progress to make.
That sounds fab...where did you buy it?
I bought them on Amazon PM
Had a quick look but seems you have to buy 6 packs...is that correct?
Ignore my previous message...have now found you can buy one or two packs at a time!
Thanks so much PM... I cannot tell you how incredibly helpful this community has been in helping me not just cope with it but to make this significant progress
This community may have been helpful but you put in the hard yards. Nonetheless, incredibly thoughtful of you to offer thanks for help and support. You should be proud of being such a thoroughly decent person.
I second that @Shas3. Nicely put Ian!
A nice low round 6 this Thursday morning.
"..Is the court really expected to believe my learned friend, @Bubbsie that your client is INNOCENT..?
I admire your temerity in expecting this court to believe your client could not have done such a dastardly thing.
perhaps i can persuade you otherwise.
If it please the Court M'lud..
i'd like to enter the statement made By constable @DJC as evidence
Exhibit B if i may.
to whit her Notebook,
where on the date in question, Constable DJC, did write and if i might Quote.for the
benefit of the Jury, M'lud
innocent, @Bubbsie .. i think not.
No more questions, m'Lud.
Good morning folks, hope everyone is well, am struggling on the McDonalds diet out here in Trump Vegas, strip joints and casinos were never my cup of tea, however we had a little drive out to the Grand Canyon yesterday, only 4 inches on the map to explore the south rim, it was like a very brown Peak District without sheep .
A tad warm for a strawberry blonde though,
Onwards to Yosemite today.
Regarding breadgate, I generally go for the Tesco protein loaf. it toasts well and it goes well with a mature cheddar, but my point is that it may be, and a lot are, half the carbs per slice of “normal bread” but they are half the size and twice the price, are we as diabetics being led up the garden path a bit by lo carb or hi- protein advertising.
