What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen

Blood sugars this morning were 5.4 or 5.3 or 5.5 , I can’t remember, do I care? not at all.

Have you been shouted at today? I have.
It’s nice to feel needed.
I was asked to bring Mrs J’s glasses down stairs when I came down stairs or so I thought. All I heard was glasses, cabinet and down stairs.
So
When I came down stairs bringing her glasses, feeling pleased with myself……
Yep I brought the wrong glasses down stairs and Mrs J stormed up the stairs to get the correct glasses shouting rather rude words at me highlighting my incompetence.

One day, but not today I shall learn to listen to what Mrs J says…….

Have a great day all, may your deity of your choosing go with you.

Thank you for sharing that amazing creative which hopefully meets with your approval - sure does with the audience on here - 3 winners already.. That pretentious Sewell personage and his ilk can go boil their bits. Enjoy your bin crusher.

Thank you @ianpspurs
Yes it does...thank you...
Just been hedge cutting. The hedge trimmer ran out of battery power, and so have I...
In bed for afternoon siesta...and hedge trimmer recharging...
Then I have to put the bin crusher together...I hate starting these things, no instructions...as usual...but once started I do enjoy assembling them.....

5.5 this morning.

Was really lucky yesterday. Unknown to us there was a crash between a van and a caravan on the Dereham bypass.

Just as we were about to leave for classes in Norwich our next door neighbour's mum arrived and warned us of the crash - so we were able to do a detour. Apparently some people were stuck there for an hour and a half - which would have been us if our neighbour's mum hadn't warned us.

Sometimes you just get lucky. Obviously my two afternoon classes were meant to run yesterday.

You got lucky in finding that info out @Krystyna23040

Morning all from L.A. where the day has self identified as a recognisably conventional, though somewhat depleted in the sunshine element, August day: normal for Breckland I guess. A day to honestly acknowledge and give thanks to God for what is, whilst accepting these aren't the conditions in which I flourish or feel God's love most easily: takes work rather than being spontaneous. There is an important distinction between what actually is and one's feelings/emotions. @gennepher thank you for sharing the wonderful creative yesterday. Odd story of that bin crusher - we have one which is well used, a real blessing, for the recycling bin due to all the packaging with deliveries since we don't really do shops these days. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art and well done having a proper butcher these days, especially one that would butcher a chicken. Quite the blessing they are more purveyors of pre-packaged "suff" in many parts unless one goes to boutique "farm shops." More childcare here today, just one granddaughter who helped JKP bake me some keto blueberry muffins yesterday then wanted me to eat some asap. Later she will be joined by her brother who has three taster cum orientation days at Secondary school this week then a week's scout camp. #2 son and family called in yesterday en route home to Winchester - he'd forgotten to make his wife a coffee for the journey. Hugs and prayers for those in need thereof and my best wishes for you all.
Thank you @ianpspurs and yes, lucky to have two proper butchers in town - take your pick Mr Miles. Keto blueberry muffins - eat it now grandad!

I liked this, of course I liked it. Call/email/whatsapp/video conference/whatevs your mum and or dad, kids and grandchildren or better yet do what the Prof did. Counting carbs and steps don't come close. I do it but I'm not silly enough not to know their true place in the grand scheme of things.

I'm guessing a true man of the north such as yourself would take the money not open the box. Did you have to play the yes no interlude before being given the real price? I just ate a KBM with 10% orfentic Greek yogurt - some sweetener leaves a lot to be desired and I needed some cals. Today JKP and the young lady are making cookies for non Elsie Keto folk.

No FBG cos of under orders painting of another coat of emulsion.
Just tidied up, kitchen duties awaiting, should have visited shop but now can't be ars...!
Need to water garden, promised rain in forecast never arrived, very windy, cloudy, cooler, typical British summer's day.
Grandkids gone the zoo, hope they don't keep the ratbag.

Gotta go.
I'll be back! Or not!

If I make it (late Oct) I've seen a 40th wedding anniversary present I would like JKP to buy me. She seems less keen. I could talk to our neighbour Corey, who says if we want anything just ask, to potentially see about saving postage. Could be awks if he's a MAGA supporter though  May fall foul of this so non runner :meh:

Hi Judith sends her thanks for the messages of condolence.

It has been a bit of a tough day but we are coming to terms with the suddenness of it.
The brothers at Ards Friary said a mass for Jennifer this morning very touching I thought.

Blood sugar this morning was 4.9 not that I was very enthusiastic about testing.

All of the Gasmen stuff has finally gone, yay!
but the rubbish left, was a bit of a cheek.
wouldn't have happened in my work ethics.

Sun has come out! A bit late but it is still there.........!

And a phone call from pharmacy in reply to my ordering Mrs L 's patches.
Once again, pharmacy not aware what doctors is doing with Mrs L 's prescription.
Explained the situation, and for now, hoping to get them before the weekend.
The manager of the pharmacy actually asked me if I prefer the right amount for the four weeks, as in Mrs L 's blister pack.
The manager was surprised that, it was, until three months ago.
Why do I keep phoning then?
It is a bloody nuisance.

my best wishes to you lot as always.

Well, no Evri parcel got delivered...no surprise there...I did have my cochlear sound processor on to listen out for Evri, because my metal gate makes a distinctive noise when opened and a different one when closed. I heard the gate open, it is a sharp noise. And I heard the lid of my safe place being lifted and put back on again. I got up to go out, but something said no, this is not Evri. I heard the gate being closed.
So, I left it a few moments and then I went out, but no parcel in the safe place, and there was no one nearby.
Some chancer looking?
Well that was it. Gate got locked. That parcel is a figment of Evri's imagination, except that it is on the photograph when the first parcel got delivered...
Now I probably won't get any sleep tonight...

Right, I used the wheelie crusher, after I put it together, and it is much better and more effective than I thought it would be. The people in the reviews insisted it wasn't strong enough and the handle bent. I wasn't expecting miracles, but I managed to get the trash rubbish down the black wheelie bin to about a half. So, I now had half a 120litre wheelie bin to fill...right...finding all my rubbish (not all of it, there's loads more stuff to sort out). But there was a slight problem, getting it down the driveway, it was too heavy...

Now having a rest with a cuppa. My back is killing me...and I am jumping out of my skin at every little noise...
I have taken the hearing processor off, now I cannot hear external noises. I am going to lock up early...like now...
