What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs
Yes, I thought so too about that broom handle but I was not thinking on any other alternative. I refuse to think on another alternative than it was the badger...

M and S Christnas advert 2024 for a dull, verging on bleak, day. I’m not advocating y’all go M and S shopping either online or in store, Fortnum and Mason or regional variations will do just fine, avoid Harrods with all the recent adverse publicity. The puff piece (attached) with the vid is nice enough. @gennepher, original song video with lyrics the captions on this were lousy. Baah humbug all you like but right now the mood needs lifting in most places - it is however euphoric in Clacton-a-Largo.

It’s a problem John. I have two sisters in the USA and they have been worried about the direction of travel in that hugely divided country for quite a while.
Could it be......
As said in many media broadcasts in the States that many people are frightened about not voting for him.
The major federal government depts, such as homeland, FBI, etc.
Have been on full alert, just in case.
The talk of a civil war is a common outcome beforehand.
You have a broom?
First, how posh!
Second, is it a besom?
Third, wizard of warlock?
Fourth, thought Halloween was done for this season?
Fifth, Were you chasing the poor thing for a potion?

A really thrilling Thursday 5.6!!!!!!!!!
And yes, I checked and it was 5.8!.
Who knows but that is lowest for a while. Mrs L was 8.1.
Must be the weather.
Can't be.

Took #8, the ratbag to get Mrs L fresh food from the bakers, had to call in the newsagents avoiding the papers. He ran to the confectionery, and a couple of fredo's went into his robbers coat, sorry, his parka. He wouldn't take them out to be scanned, so I picked another up, so that the guy could scan it twice for those in #8's pocket.
He is so much fun.
Just thought, should have checked his other pockets, Doh!

Talking of weather, it's colder today than of late, the breeze is chilly.
Anyone seen blue sky lately?

Having a quiet afternoon for a change.
Just discovered I don't know what to do with it?

My bestest, most adoring, wishes for you lot as always.

Does anyone else think, that the elected first family, is a modern equivalent of the Borgias?

I have been trying for months to make ribcage breathing my automatic normal breathing, but like you, the moment I focussed on something I forgot.

I wonder if not having the energy to focus on anything other than the breathing over Covid was was what really helped. It maybe it just takes a long time to change your automatic breathing patterns.

One of my long term class members was so happy yesterday. She had COPD and had been working very hard on her ribcage breathing. On Tuesday the hospital halved her meds for COPD as her lungs had improved significantly.

Really good news on the COPD and your ankle healing so well. As with yourself and @gennepher I find I can only sustain rib cage breathing by fully concentrating on that only. Google suggests singers breath this way. Perhaps we should all join a choir although they'd soon ask me to do the breathing and just mime silently.

Yes it probably does take time to change a lifetime of breathing habits @Krystyna23040
I am glad for your class member that she got her meds halved.

Thank you @ianpspurs and any offense would be so rude. Interesting quote - very apt.

Thanks for the kaleidoscope - and your could be competing with Trigger for that broom - had it for years and only 2 new heads and 4 new handles.

Tried a choir once, didn’t work out but the money was good - two bob for a wedding and half a crown for a funeral.

Many of my family live in the USA @dunelm. They are devastated and seriously worried about the future.

Good morning everyone from the wonderful silence of early dawn here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this am if anyone is checking. We was a good chap yesterday; pensioner portion for lunch and soup like what I made for supper. Today the aim of the game is to make sure that I have a clean handkerchief when I go for a hearing test. Must remember to clean behind my ears, one can’t be too careful. Art bit, someone fishing for sanity. Hope you have a good day. For me, that means waking up in the morning and being able to participate once again. Know your limitations and then defy them. Best make some Kofee.

One of the laws of stupidity tells us that we should never underestimate the number of stupids there are in the world.
I gave this an agree, even though it Made me laugh

Am so glad son2 decided to bring his American fiancée here. For a while I thought he would emigrate. This seemed more likely because one nephew has already done that. Married his American girl and emigrated.
Hope your sisters and their families will be ok @dunelm
