6.2 today, post holiday so that's to be expected. What wasnt expected was when I got on my scales (by the way @jjraak these scales are amazing) I hadn't put one lb on! Still 10 stone 7 after eating so much on holiday. Far more than usual. But I made good choices. 99% of the time! And walked a lot. So I'm one very happy bunny.

So missing the thread! Feet haven't touched the ground since getting home last night. Hope everyone is ok as still haven't had time to catch up.

I have some good news.

I've been approached to join Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on their programme this Wednesday! With Dr Zoe as they talk about diabetes! I joked on here way back in July 2018 about joining them on the sofa to spread the word. I wasnt really joking, I love them and wanted as many of us as possible to be on that sofa with our our big pants and great hba1c results. But it's just me. And I'm so nervous. Way out of my comfort zone. But I will give it my best shot!!! Its a great opportunity to tell others what I learned on this amazing forum....carbs turn to sugar. I didnt have a clue. That's why I ended up in this boat!

Its Wednesday 11.15 on This Morning. Wish me luck.
Absolutely amazing news! Get spreading the amazing results you have had and I'm sure that you will be amazballs.

@Debandez great news on weight and TV appearance. @HarrisonK autumnal feel comes when farmers start cutting hedges around here so a little way off just yet. @Muddy Cyclist hope dentist and music go well - fbg often mystifies, especially when compared to the rest of the day. @gennepher nicely done young lady being in the 6s through good choices. @karen8967 good to see the smiley for your morning level. @geefull full day planned and the HC appointment should be a breeze with your magnificent control. My fbg was 5.4 and still weigh 74.4 kgs. All a bit meh if I am honest - for all the analysis of what to eat and the pretty constant hunger not a great result. Hopefully, once I am given the ok to move and exercise enough things might improve. Yes, I know those figures are fine but an honest appraisal is an awful lot of effort for not much to crow about.

Morning all from a hazy red ball in the sky, coolish, cloudyish sort of North (I think I fitted it all in) we are no longer standing in wonder, gazing at the red ball of fieriness! we are just going about our daily life. I have news! no battle with the meter of doom this morning! I put my old superman t-shirt on and marched in and told it what for! I don't know if it was intimidated by the sight of a 20st sack of lard or it was stunned into submission by the sight of a nearly fifty year old man in a t-shirt that was far, far, far, far too small for him and fitted where it touches!! any way I managed to extract a 5.1 from it before I strutted my stuff out of the kitchen whilst carrying my two imaginary carpets under my arms!! I will leave you with that wonderful image!!

Take care everyone.

@Debandez thats great. I will have to watch it just to see your segment.

My Libre gave me a 5.0 this morning, and I turned over and went back to sleep after medication. Not a busy day for me today after yesterday. I done some more on my train. Finished one date cube now for the other.

Morning. 6.0 for me this morning.
Grandchildren stayed over again last night. The 6yo spent the day proudly showing everyone her tooth which had fallen out. She spent ages writing a letter for the fairies to put under her pillow with it but she came downstairs in floods of tears later in the evening. She really really didn’t want to give her lovely shiny tooth to the fairies, she wanted to keep it, at least for a little while. We decided that the fairies probably wouldn’t mind this time and sure enough they wrote her a letter saying they quite understood ( and because the fairies in grandma’s house are soft, she got a shiny coin anyway)
@gennepher the pre school shoe shopping still makes me shiver with horror, what a shock for you yesterday. Glad you found a Hotel Chocolate shop to calm your nerves!
@Cumberland I’m so sorry to hear of your horrible hypo nights which seem constant at the moment. It must make the very thought of going to bed exhausting.
Hope all goes well at the eye clinic @dunelm
@Debandez yay! Can’t wait to see it.

Morning All. 5.0 today yay!
@Debandez welcome home and what fab news! Philip and Holly and that sofa are legends, you will be wonderful, just be YOU. Will be cheering from my sofa! @dunelm and @gennepher good luck with the clinics today. @Bubbsie hugs for the bad sleep and the INR result. @SaskiaKC your Batman tshirt reminded me of a summer holiday when the boys were very little and they both insisted on wearing their Spiderman suits every day despite the heat and I had to wash them every night! Thanks for prompting the memory!
Hope you all have a great Tuesday. Stay well, stay safe.

Thanks PM...just a little higher than it should be positively it's easier to bring the levels down than up so working on that...the bad sleep my own fault really...laboured with the new pillows for nearly a week now...they're going back in the closet for the visitors.

If x=30 and y=22 what does xy equal, don't you just love the use of the word therefore, it still strikes fear in me now after all those exams and years, anyway a young ish 7.2 this morning.
Have a good one.

@Krystyna23040 great fbg and the walk sounds divine. I have read at least 1 other post of yours extolling the virtues of Sheringham Park so once we are settled in our new home and I am told I can put in a bit of effort I shall head for it. Re the diary, are you one of those who needs to be busy to thrive or do you dislike disappointing other people? Take care I enjoy your posts and your take on life.
@ianpspurs Sheringham Park is lovely - I think you would enjoy a visit. The very best time is when the Rhododendrons are in full bloom.
Re: the diary. What happens is that I'm with a client. I open my diary on my phone and while chattering away I merrily slot in another appointment in my diary totally oblivious to the fact that the day is absolutely full.

What I really need is for a warning to flash up - saying Hold on - are you really really sure you want to put this appointment in the diary because if you do there are no breaks for food. Luckily yesterday two people cancelled so it became a much better day. Sometimes I look at my diary and pray for people to cancel - then feel really guilty when someone phones in because they have suddenly gone down with a virus.

Sometimes common sense goes out the window in looking for complicated solutions to managing T2 and hunger (Occhams razor?) Why do I feel hungry/ empty lately? 6 pints of tea suddenly missing from period between waking and lunch explains that. IF may not survive for long minus that heft in my tummy.
