HAPPY BIRTHDAY @dogslife. Hope it's a good day for you, whatever the weather turns out to be.Good morning to you all. It was supposed to be the first group walk of the year this morning but at minus 7 and local roads hazardous it looks like a stopper- inner. Today is the anniversary of losing my dear dad, so I'm trying hard to blank out those disturbing flashbacks. Tomorrow is my birthday and I'm not expecting any visitors so I'm hoping the weather allows our walk then we can meet up with "walking" friends. I feel blessed that we have a safe, warm home with lovely winter views over our garden to lift our spirits. Stay warm and safe everyone.
I've been trying to get in touch with Gennepher but the site won't let me. I know she was disheartened and said she wouldn't post because of problems with loading her pictures and, since Christmas, she seems to have cut off communications.A tad concerned, and I can't search her posts due to restrictions made.
But does anyone know if @gennepher was off away somewhere...?
Last post I see if dated Christmas day
And on that note, is @dunelm away & offline in France ?

Dunelm, I think, went to France to visit his mother. Not sure when he is due back.
You are too, too kind dear sir. I do know of that film as my SIL had Always look on the bright side of life played as the recession music at her funeral. There were actually several "movies" shown chez nous during "the holidays" as Mil and our grandchildren find them entertaining - not necessarily the same ones. One mum doesn't like them seeing Harry Potter, LOTR or war films. These days the grandchildren don't drop off so I can't tell them they missed the film as sympathetically as possible. One of the girls knows all the words to KPop Demon Hunters, songs at least - I nearly do now. One in particular is quite catchy. MIL is easierTo save you asking @ianpspurs
I left a link in my reply to alfred the grate

Whoops: I wood like to say sorry for breaking the rools, but that would cause internal conflict and be divisive therefore I shall accept the edit, not throw my toys out of the pram or storm off in a hissy fit. I will however not bark at the postman, but invite him in for a koffy and bacon sarnie, I know he likes them.Good afternoon all.
I have been left alone having an afternoon nap while Mrs J prepares a mince dish. There will be enough mince for 2 days meals.

Must have been bad since the situation is actually worse. All 5 girls know the steps to at least one song as performed on stage in the film, as does my 4 year old grandson and all 3 of my sons. I too was "swamped by laugher, mirth and merriment from the grandchildren" but didn't take"some time away from the interweb until 12th night."Can't imagine what you did in your last life to deserve such eternal torment ...
@dunelm good to see you here and good to read you spent time with family and friends as well as embracing the analogue. A real sponge is an interesting red line. Two things this week; I bought a new sponge to replace the one that had just decided to shuffle off its mortal coil (I do like a real sponge and not some oil based synthetic thing). Then, rediscovered the lovely Seiko kinetic watch that Mrs Miggins got me for my birthday 30 years ago - so off with that nosey fitbit and back to something that just tells me the time.
A Ben Sherman, a set of tungsten and a few pints. I believe.Interesting@Lamont D. Can you remember what you spent the £21 on?
