Back home now Saskia so a reasonably early day...feeling a little more energised and I'm down to 5.6 I expected it to take a while to get the full effect of my very low carb...as for the INR levels they are a law unto themselves...more difficult to manage those than the T2...but it is easier to get them down rather than have to get them up!

I'd love to do a really long fast to kick the drop in BG levels...but have to eat when I take the warfarin & have to take it at night as it affects the way it is measured...blimey I thought BG control was difficult!...thanks PM

always a fav at family Meets especially around Christmas..so it's a natural song to play at my Mums funeral reception
( so warm memories there)
then i went onto fields of athenry..the updated version from 2016 euros..Love these big tournaments, when Ireland qualify even more so..(see 4:46 when Irish Fans 'Riot'..Lol :hilarious::hilarious:..)
(yes, we are lovely, and yes we see the Craic in everything, but we ARE Mad :pics:)

lose we sing, win we sing..and always happy to send anyone home with a cheerful song..


also, while looking (weakly, admittedly) for work, an opportunity MAY have come up, from the friend of a friend type of thing.
so fingers crossed it's something i can do AND i like it.:D..

My mum was from Dublin. One of 13. Only one sister left now but we visit every year as we have always done since I was born 21 years ago (clears throat and blushes as she adverts her gaze). We've had many a sing song involving the above. The Fureys I've seen live and know all their songs. I could in fact play all their songs on the piano. Still can. I get all the right notes, just in the wrong order! So thanks for bringing back wonderful memories. My auntie will be 80 this week. She is feeling apprehensive as non of her siblings made that milestone. She looks amazing and is going strong despite 2 major ops over the last 2 years. She is like my 2nd mum. We write every week (she wont email) and look forward to reading what each other has to say. Waffle from me usually but she loves it. Bless.
 
The one where the boys ( 2 x 6' 4") helpfully leave a M³ dumpy bag full of all sorts, including wet plaster, for dad to take to the tip. Quite pleased with myself for dragging the bag and getting it in and out of the car plus into the skip. 4.7 after all that - meh

What a strange day it's been here! Lots done, little achieved, non stop messing about, running granddaughter to dentist, chopping wood, practising my mouth organ Blues, I need lots more practise I'm never going to be a Mick Jagger or a Paul Jones, and suddenly it's now!

@ianpspurs a good workout by the looks of it.

Another wonderful capture of light in those trees @gennepher. Today influenced by your steps and @dunelm and his planned trekking up The Pyg path, I tried painting what I remembered from walking up this track a few years ago as the sun rose and the mist cleared to reveal the summit all pink and golden, a wild and desolate climb at the top, admiration on your forethcoming venture @dunelm

So here it is, a quick A4 watercolour, 20 minutes.

I am always happy outdoors, it was a very good ride, when with younger friends we average about 10 miles an hour but do like to stop and admire views, light, chat to people we pass and so although out 4 hours we only covered about 30 miles. It was very muddy yesterday, thus the smile.

Superdry - and I certainly wasn't. Thighs were wet and cold. Time was (Wishbone Ash anyone?) when I would have lifted it straight into car and skip. Still, grateful I am blessed with the strength and cussedness to do the job. Did feel good getting dirty - some boys never really grow up.

Hope this doesn't disappoint you: I love getting dirty especially where a horse or a garden or a body of water is involved! :D I wish now that the barn manager had taken a picture of me the 2 winter days when I looked at lot like the pic you posted today! lol
It's been too long. All this city living is too clean outside and too much city dirt inside.

You are just a big kid! If I had known you were lifting such heavy stuff I would have told you off, no point now!

I dont mind getting dirty after a warm dry day in the garden but I dont like to be wet and cold. I hate it when you wish you had photos of moments despite the best pics being always in your head.
