What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

We have had crabs and lobsters washing up for a couple of weeks now. First thoughts were that it was due to dredging in the estuary. Next it was storms. Water samples have been taken along the coast and we await results but so far nothing concrete. At this time of year, crabs take to deeper waters so this is quite worrying.
I see there is a Shore lark near the stray beach cafe in Redcar today, sound alive and kicking I believe.

Fbg 6.5

Yesterday was a black cloud stormy torrential day.
Normally I put sweets out in my ivy hedge with lights for trick and treat. But no chance last night.
I was waiting for an Amazon parcel, so I was still up. Then my blue flashing doorbell went. And I thought, at last the Amazon parcel man is using the doorbell.
But when I went to the gate, there were two black shadows of drowned rats there. The weather was so bad I could hardly make them out, even in front of me. They said something, no idea what, but it was pretty safe to assume they were trick&treaters. Hang on I said. Went back in to get my cauldron of sweets. Take the lot I said, and the cauldron too.
Amazon parcel man arrived at that moment, his flashlight blinding, and I saw the two excited teenage girl's faces saying thank you to me!

Finally, I now know my flashing doorbell works...due to two trick&treaters!

Creative today...
This black pen I sprayed with soapy water from the mister spay. Not a success from point of view of the soapy mister spray spreading the black ink. But this particular black pen does spread out with water alone. So I had to add colour to do something with this black drawing...there was some green in the yellow, but the iPad camera didn't pick it up...

Good trick or treaters testing your bell and the excellently generous reward. Thanks for the smashing art work.

Good morning everyone under a clear and fairly cloud free sky here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of leftover soup and a couple of what the Heck sausages came home at 5.2 this am

Yesterday it rained nearly all day - heavy stuff. Has somebody been swapping out the hydrogen atoms for deuterium? Dashed into town by car - early breakfast - the girl in the bubble extra excited to grab her grandmother’s toast. Play stopped rain at about 1230 but by that time girl in the bubble was returned safely home and Mrs Miggins shot over the the little house on the prairie to do some ‘stuff ready for winter’. She will be back at about lunch time. This gave me ample time to break down a now surplus bed base, ready to go to the tip. Loads of stuff collected by the sally army last week but they did not want a bed base without it’s mattress which was snaffled by one of the offspring. No trick or treaters last night - far too bleak even for feral northern kids. Mr Robin is busy in the garden bullying, chest puffing and generally behaving badly.

Art bit - ink, spray bottle and a small guiding water brush on unsized rice paper. Hope your day is a glorious one - remember, the English language is used throughout the universe - ask any Star Trek fan. Koffy time.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all bask in the glory of another day, cue that Beatles song.
An unsurprising 7.2 this morning, one or several of me’s should not snack on peanuts…..No @ianpspurs not the cartoon character, the nuts probably grown by Jimmy Carter the ex president of that now independent colony of ours.
While I have been typing this Mrs J has been talking at me, I must now nod, shake my and mutter in appropriate places otherwise otherwise there may be trouble ahead……whoops…

All Saints day 2021. The D isn't the totality of me and trying to be climate friendly, plus follow a "healthy" lifestyle 365/24/7 etc isn't always the best route to wellbeing. Yesterday I ate red meat (Pork, low end of impact for red meat), sourced from the most responsibly reared, environmentally friendly provider I know. I also drank red wine which is a toxin if I’m brutally honest. (Bear with) An LC diet is mainly like living with a Dementor for me: they also drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them, and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of (me) - LC does that foodwise.. Managing my wellbeing goes far beyond what the meter, “lab work,” fitbit or scales measure and for me either includes a spiritual element or is a waste of time and effort. I felt part of a wider family on All Saints Sunday by doing those things. Part of a chain from my forefathers, through my 91++ yo MIL, to my grandchildren. That will never show up on Swipey, fitbit, scales or elsewhere but so much more useful for my wellbeing. No, not an excuse for not checking fbg just bigger picture. Pretentious, moi? We had mucho trick or treaters, yee haw. Thanks for the art @gennepher amd @dunelm. @alf_Josiah the man from Plains Georgia looks a whole lot better from this distance - the 70's as a whole best forgotten - but look like a golden age compared to 2016 to the present.

Really impressive. Love this @dunelm
A lot going on in this.

Hmm. I wonder if Her Maj could hire a clever legal team to find a way she could be as decisive with another guy way out of his depth and creating a totally embarrassing team nowhere near good enough? Just a thought.:angelic: To be fair, Nuno acted with class and knew he was failing - basically apologised on Saturday. The other guy could well pass a lie detector test:arghh:
