Smashing fishy art piece from you. Champion. I have a Keela coat - designed by mountaineers and made in Scotland. Don’t rate the others as they have turned into fashion statements I feel. Still, whatever floats your boat. I always told my students on mountain leadership courses - “buy the very best coat and boots that you can, everything else is garnish.”Fbg 7.5
I will get this back down in next couple of days...
It is only due to stress of last couple of days.
I was chatting online to a friend last night about my old age need for warmer clothes when outside in the cold. And she said partner wears "Keela, Musto n Canada Goose r his favourite..." I nearly choked on my coffee when I saw the price.
I do have clothes I don't wear any more, and I save everything in the Tardis. As long as the garage is not full, it can be stored in plastic boxes. Clothes and fabrics often end up being rags for cleaning. Everything I have or store is recycled or upcycled. I don't like new clothes, I never have. I have in the past, enjoyed the challenge of recreating new outfits from anything. But lost my way on that since J died. I have been wearing black, dark, uninteresting stuff.
It is time for this batty old lady to get this old mojo back.
Today's project...get in that garage and fish some stuff out...
Just because I don't go anywhere now because of Covid and my groups all still being closed down (and more possible imminent Covid restrictions from Wales), doesn't mean I have to wear dark uninteresting stuff indoors. Just because the Welsh government are in a panic, and apparently cancelled their Xmas recess/holidays, poor loves, doesn't mean I have to join this depression...and the news heading just tells me Alert level 2 for Wales... I didn't read the rest...
I know where the box is where there is something lime green in the garage...old ladies wearing purple in their old age is old hat...it's lime green now...
Todays painting New Year creative card...a goldfish in the water in snowy conditions.
Spread Christmas joy today...
And special blessings for all those who are not here on this thread today...

A beautiful season's greetings and a sweet little Robin @dunelmGood morning everyone from a dining room full of toast eating miniatures here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of an early party feast with the grandchildren rocked home at 5.7 this am.
Kids had a great time on the Santa Special yesterday. Me and their dad when hunter gathering at a place that we knew had fish.
Today, Mrs Miggins and her sister will be off to the cemetery to visit their mother and then a walk on the moors. We are having our Christmas dinner today as we are all over at our daughter’s tomorrow afternoon.
Art bit - a greetings card for anyone who wants one. Be happy, time for some koffy.

@ianpspurs Lime Green good to go then?Good morning all. Several reminders make me aware it is Christmas Eve but "the vibe" is mainly preparing for a vital risk assessment exam with failure not an option. Celebrating whilst keeping an almost 92 yo (who is desperate for a family Christmas) and a 5 month old as safe as possible, when both have had spells in intensive care this year, is a nightmare in my mind. Definitely best not to show my working out to JKP - either impervious or a brilliant actress. My fbg was 5.9 purely due to stinking cold which has a 50/50 chance of being incipient C according to "the science". @alf_Josiah I too only got a C on the LF test. @dunelm enjoy the family time - we played spot the next (insert colour) car, and ask Alexa for a song with our 3 yesterday. Memo to dopey: get the turkey delivered or pay more to collect from the posh farm shop/butcher
Eye watering price but we enjoyed last year's having previously been bitterly disappointed by the so called best in class (eye watering +) - makes me doubt Rick Stein's palate. We may just have been unlucky. @gennepher go for a splash of colour, why not? @gennepher and @dunelm thanks for the artwork and leading me to Keela - interesting for the future. Have a great, Whitty safe, day and Christmas. I need Assam and revision for this exam.
