Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who suffer a fear of Mondays. Question, what is a fear of Mondays, is it like a pride of lions or a murder of crows or rooks?

This morning was a 5.8 on that meter of despondency, but 5.8 is ok for me, me’s and myself.

Here in Tilehurst Towers the BBC’s work of science fiction and fantasy aka the weather forecast is predicting rain all day, therefore do I amend my plans or just plough on regardless, who knows, but I do know I have breakfasted, done 40 minutes plinky plonky, drunk tea and now drinking koffy.

Covid
I have no idea what the official statistics are, but I know of so many people who have covid and also who have just recovered from it, I am tempted to lock myself down again.

Stay safe all.

Footnote and hand note, I just can’t think of worse idiot box programs than Strictly come Waltzing and Foot the Ball world mug, perhaps these programs could be combined, I shall leave you all to think think of a suitable title.
Hugs were for the Covid worry for you @alf_Josiah

Good morning everyone from a dry but chilly start to Monday in Little America where houses are already suited and booted for The Holidays. Indeed, some have been since about the start of the month, replete with huge blow up Santa on the front lawn. Thursday should be a no fly day for Thanksgiving, Local butchers rubbing their hands over two chances to sell turkeys at >£100 a go. Yesterday's family meal and tea with the birthday boy went well. Today is mindbendingly difficult trying to make an LC, gut microbiome menu fit in with late autumn/early winter. My default setting is cold food. That is probably because I can make the macros, nutes and vits.work but minerals can be a nightmare. I now have a fortnightly detailed blood analysis and follow up consultation to considered. Interesting figures, graphs and feedback on the minerals. At no stage has cholesterol been tested but serum glucose is always tested. Tomorrow's armful also includes a PCT test to check I'm go to resume my regime. The venue is a secret location at the back of Addenbrookes with a phone call and code word to gain entrance to the isolation room. All the hot food I would enjoy is quite carby/high in potassium/silenium/phosphorous and sodium in its best form. In a suitable form it is something other than food IMHO. @dunelm enjoy the shopping with your friend. Will you be using snares, shotguns or rifles for the fullish English hunt? Finally adding colour to your art totally transforms them but in a subtly different way each time. Thank you. @gennepher Midnight is certainly a whopper. Thank you for the creative, video and photo. To continue the impossible riddle theme do I watch the football later while JKP is having the baby 4x4 handbrake button fixed? Enjoy your day and I'll work through my first world problems with some tea.
Thank you.
I am preferring cold food more and more @ianpspurs
I do like my hot drinks in cold weather...
Good luck for tomorrow.

I have only had one very big cat before @Annb
He was a very long haired grey Persian type cat, longer than Midnight, and bigger looking (because of the long fur), but he didn't have the weight or the muscle power that Midnight has.
Ours was a short haired tabby and not very obviously muscular, more wiry, I suppose. Fierce when challenged by dogs or other cats, but a big softie when in the house.

Thank you. I'm assured the reserved car park is now not fenced off so no 240 point turn to exit or parking a mile away. Once inside all goes very smoothly. Salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, celery, raddish and cucumber don't have rapeseed oil but goodness knows what chemicals were sprayed on them either in growing or packaging then there is the protein source. Best wishes with all that.

Good morning everyone on what looks likely to be a dry day here in the dark and dangerous north - subject to change of course. Friend of mine arrived yesterday from LA so we will probably be doing shopping for crazy items like breakfast cereals and biscuits to fill one of his two giant and so-far empty suitcases. The other one will get filled with all things German when he flies over to Frankfurt on Tuesday to meet up with his family (they have an apartment there). Blimy, I need a rest just thinking about all that travel. Art bit, colour added so better get on with something else - but first, some koffy and then hunt down a full English (less the carby bits) before hitting the supermarket.

Pic...sat here watching, awaiting the arrival of van helsing ...:woot:

Good on ya, showing our US Cousin, our finest cuisine.

They might lead the world right now, but will they have the legacy of their world domination stamped ?
Or even be represented by the accolade of a "Full American", when their reign is over...?

..;)

I hear you there, @alf_Josiah .

Must be so much harder, when medically (as well as sensibly) it's deemed better to self isolate from the rest of the UK.

Chatting among ourselves the other day,. I think we reached our own personal opinion, we both had it at separate times.
While tending to the other, we were sensible but in no way truly quarantined from each other, yet neither of us caught it from the other ....weird .

Which leads us both to suspect it's truly dosage led.

We must have had 'some' level, yet not enough to trip our immune system over.

And we did air out rooms daily .

While we haven't avoided work (Lauren) or shopping, it's been noted we avoid crowded places, and giving a wide berth to those showing symptoms of "it's just a cold, init " types.

Good luck on your own mini lockdown if & when it comes.

Dec / Jan are certainly the danger times... sadly.

Hug for the shielding vs socialising dilemma. I need to work out if I go to Ely Cathedral tomorrow to see grandson perform in a choir with G4. Probably easier for me since I'm naturally quite (ultra?) reclusive. As for the two programs. how many people who are housebound derive huge comfort and mental balance from them not to mention the potential for community centres, etc to provide warmth, maybe hot food and companionship watching the football? No easy answers and none of this is inherently evil when used for the greater good.

Magnesium is has the opposite issue and the supplements cause spectacular failure on the Bristol Stool Chart. @dunelm enjoy the shopping with your friend. You're making that "jungle celebrity, no honestly , I am.."
Thing seem child's play by comparison.

Spinning plates, while patting your head AND rubbing your belly, all while playing keepee uppie with a quatar sanctioned football stuffed with bribes.....respect.

And we all thought carbs fat & protein was difficult.

Hugs but admiration for using the Bristol stool chart in such a VERY descriptive way..

Good luck with upcoming visit

Thanks. There are people who have lived with such issues from birth/childhood so I'm blessed to have come this far and am more than happy to continue to bind my moggle daily. The consultants and their staff seem satisfied with my bloods but what do they know? The past 12 years have firmed up my previous view that a massive gaslighting operation is being orchestrated by some sinister power all to do with dark money/the Koch brothers/KGB/the Mercers. This tin foil hat is starting to itch.

Mine often goes up after sleep and then goes back down during the morning. Hopefully I will receive my Freestyle Libre 3 today and then will be able to properly chart the times my body is processing glucose. The Freestyle 3 logs the glucose level automaticly every 5 mins so it should give a much clearer picture. However, after i get some regular readings with close to 0 carbs and no booze, will do some tests to see how I react to some carbs and alcohols. I found that a small amount of pasta did not get a big rise, yet a small amount of rice caused a big jump. This just proves that we are all different.
Does your Libre not show that data?
Oh I wish I could eat pasta even a small amount twice cooked seems to affect my BG .

Glad that they have sorted the reserved car park out better @ianpspurs

I remember a tremendous amount of crop spraying when I was a child. And you were standing under it happening...

Thanks for your good wishes.

Just back from my meeting with Kirsty Wade at the Sports Centre. She seems to be a very nice woman. She will be inviting me to join a class for people with very limited mobility after Christmas and meantime will contact me on Zoom once a week to see how I am getting on with the exercises that the physio gave me. Not a very productive meeting for me - mostly just giving my medical history. Of course, I couldn't remember dates very accurately - in my mind, once it's gone, it's gone and I forget it - not enough space in my brain to hold on to irrelevant information.

BG now dropped to 5.0 but my current cup of tea will probably push it up a bit.

Good bg and at least your details are on record ready for the after Christmas sessions. Enjoy your tea.
