I don't think so, because he sleeps on the swing all day. He is on that swing 24/7I wonder if merlin is a neighbours cat & has a home ?
While I know cats can be nocturnal, he must be sleeping peaceful & safe, somewhere ?
Can cats claim political asylum ?I don't think so, because he sleeps on the swing all day. He is on that swing 24/7
What cat chooses to stay outdoors on an exposed swing at nighttime at below zero temperatures?
He does not leave my garden...

love your painting @dunelmGood morning everyone, it’s that book end day here in the dark and dangerous north. That day that can flip between the end of a week or the start of a long weekend or perhaps sneaking into a bank holiday. Choose wisely as it will effect your own personal financial crisis traveling at the weekend. My doctor has changed my blood pressure tablets regime - reducing my Amlodipine to 5mg a day due to swollen ankles and introducing some Lisinopril at 5mg a day. What fun - blood test in 2 weeks just for kicks and giggles by the feel my bottomist and a follow up consultation in 4 weeks time. The good news is that my little home blood pressure monitor bought in the aisle of mystery and surprises in Aldi several years ago concurs with the fancy GP practice one so keep taking the scores pal. Art bit - decided to add some yellow and red as well as a few plants. Have a smashing day if you can, even preparing tax returns can be fun until HMRC heckles you with a bill for not being funny. Koffy, there must surely be koffy.

your painting is lovely just as it is @gennepherFbg 6.8
On the nighttime wildlife camera...
Cat Merlin has a hunting stance...
He is on the alert all night.
But what takes Merlin's interest which appears to be midair?
I have no idea.
Creative has begun in ZenBrush3 and finished in Procreate.
Both cats in here.
I should've lightened the river a bit more, but it is what it is!
Time for a cuppa.

I think he has!Can cats claim political asylum ?
Thank you for that compliment @Krystyna23040your painting is lovely just as it is @gennepher
And by the way, Midnight wants his swing back for daytime, so there are some cat shenanigans going on.I think he has!
He is skin and bones. I have touched his body.
You can't tell in the nighttime videos because if I showed every time he walked over the swing to the cat biscuits on the other end and had a feed, you would die of boredom...
He spends the night feeding himself @jjraak
You have done really well to have made such a good recovery and will continue to recover further.Morning team D
Early morning riser, nice & alert...super.
Bloods circa 7 mostly today's 6.3 so that's nice .
First time back at gym since recent illness.
A low key session & an interesting nutrition debate with my (shared) personal trainer/rehab coach at my 12 week assessment.
Plenty that we agreed on & a lot we didn't..
But ended up at "different folks, different strokes" type of agreement in the end.
A nice little recap of where I was versus where I am,
lifted a little bit of the gloomy reality hanging over me of late.
13 months in and not fully recovered, and in a more pessimistic/realistic moments, probably unlikely too .
But....I am whole.
Which at the time was NOT a given ..
So for that I am truly grateful.
A day of tinkering if the expected lack of rain is to believed.
Enjoy your days, all.
That's good to hear. The problem seems to arise for people who can't manage their finances that way for one reason or another. As with everything else, there's no "one size fits all". For me, it probably would work too, but I want to be in charge of what happens in my life, as far as possible and giving up control to the power company, however good they are, and mine seems to be fine, just goes against the grain. There is also the issue that people on pre-payment schemes seem to pay more for their supply than everyone else.We have a smart meter and are on pre pay as that is what we prefer as we don't get large unexpected bills and we pay for our gas and electric as we go and if things go awry there is emergency provision if we ever should need it, we can also set aside savings on the account if we wish.
Thank you for that. You have done really well to have made such a good recovery and will continue to recover further.
18 years ago I was told that I would need to work at keeping the muscles strong in my injured leg every day for the rest of my life. I would never have a perfect leg but it would not need any more ops and it would be a functional leg even if not always completely pain free.
I must admit that it took a while (quite a long while) to come to terms with this but now I feel that I was lucky because many other cyclists have not survived being rammed by a van and actually I am a lot more active than a lot of people my age.
I agree with @Krystyna23040Thank you for that.
Just what I needed to hear, I think![]()

Thanks @ianpspursMorning all from a chilly, grey Eastern peculiarity. Many would say both myself and my location but you can be the judge of that dear readers. @dunelm good news on the BP meters agreeing but less so on the swollen ankles. Stunning artwork so many thanks. @gennepher thanks for the creative - I saw both cats. I have an inkling both pieces would work as illustrations in a C S Lewis or Tolkien book - The cats and the carbs: a diabetics journey Available from all good bookshops - younger readers, ask your grandparents @jjraak returning to the gym and the Zahawi there yet post both speak of you being on an upward curve. Splendid. @Annb hug for mobility issues and the loss of a friend. @Krystyna23040 great post on your recovery from the van incident. @gennepher amazing account of learning from dog barks. @alf_Josiah one imagines Mrs A J's account of events may make a much more compelling case for the prosecution. Is Long suffering near Tilehurst? Super Salmon Salad day today so Elsie and I will be compatible. Anyone notice anything even worse than normal with all the SMT on yesterday's jolly? If they want to be re-elected hiding would probably be their best bet. Enjoy your day or learn how to do better tomorrow.
