What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Eldest was going to ring up but I don't want to upset them. Her outlook is, they are professional they should not get upset
Sorry to hear that .

I'm with your eldest .

When it comes to serious health issues, they are professionals, so if you need to be seen, you NEED to be seen.

So put away the notion of patiently waiting to be called forward .

Sharp elbows at the ready, if it comes to it .

Best wishes someone attends to you asap.

Up at 1.30 am, BG then was 5.4. Much better than yesterday. Up to 7.5 by 7 am, but not too worrying.
Sound better then of late, Ann.
Hope it's the start of an improving trend.

Though the early morning wake up is rather unpleasant.

Such a waste on the food front
But kudos for the effort all round,
Even if life & events derailed the plan.

A very busy night.
The badger, KissyKissy, pulled off Midnight's warm fur fleece on to the rainy wet ground. He played with it, and then left his message on it. He returned many times to leave message after message on the fur fleece.
Aw, poor ol midnight's ear in the early shots.

Hope whoever did that gets the life they deserved.

And blimey, that badger was on a mission ..:wideyed:

Cool pic .

& Bravo getting the better of YouTube .

Have a good un, Genn.

6.2 this morning. Off to work shortly. Roadworks in our little market town a nightmare at the moment so we will need to go early so we can take a detour around the town
Blimey, by the sounds of it nearly all the budget for the UK's road repairs seems to be spent in your little corner of the UK .. ;)

A very Chris rhea inspired approach to driving that your local councils seem to have in & around your manor ..:arghh:

It is a wet morning in Little America so no party here today, no siree. 5.1 via Swipey seems sub-optimal after 19.7 gms carb. BG not exactly going for a frolic on the Newmarket Gallops but doesn't match the hype IMHO - YMMV. @lindisfel as @jjraak says I'm with your daughter on the phoning up front but hugs for you and Marjorie. You are right that Austerity Mk1 ruined the UK so Mkii and the madness of the B word :arghh: :bigtears: @gennepher thanks for the lighthouse - storm(z)y there. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art and also this insight: That sky really enhances the wetness in the foreground. Totally lost on me without that point. Best wishes for #scangate - no need for Pannick. @Annb fbg seems to be coming down so good news that your efforts are working. Sorry to here the love shown in the cooking and transportation may have been for nought. @Krystyna23040 hug for the detour - is the whole of the Exotic East road network finally being repaired? . @alf_Josiah perhaps today will see a -ve for Mrs A J or yourself - ideally both. Have some poetry for the down time.

Good morning everyone on what looks to be a bright and sunny start here in the dark and dangerous north. Spent most of yesterday morning wandering around shops and stores but little on my list was available. Pleasant lunch with Mrs Miggins and her twin (not identical so no name badges required - unlike the ninky nonks, Chaos and Mayhem). Sister in law is having to take iron tablets so suggested more spinach, liver, dried apricots and perhaps seaweed although I have seen research to suggest that only Nori and Sea Lettuce have sufficient quantities of iron and vitamin C makes for better absorption. Retinal eye torture this afternoon, what a treat! Art bit, detail added, some colour to be added today. Have a smashing day if you can. Take some time just for yourself. I shall make koffy and then do some exercises.

Looks a little like the pancake rocks at Punakaiki or Giants Causeway?

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those who will be avoiding the media hype over Boris the Beast.

A 5.2 this morning on that meter.

Here in Covid Central slow progress is being made, but we are still +ve , patience is required coupled with pacing oneself. It is appearing that there is a mini epidemic going on in the Reading area, of course no scientific proof is available, just idle speculation.

Not sure what mischief I can get into today, but perhaps that’s my challenge for today.

Now it’s 11:13 am and time for my 10:30 cup of tea along with a big glass of water.

Stay safe all.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen from what is now known as Covid Central, well till we start testing-ve.
@dunelm good luck at the dentists, we once had a dentist who’s surname was Pegg !

This mornings reading was a solid 5.7 .
All is quiet at the moment and not much is happening so I bid you all well, stay safe and if in doubt run for the hills.
A bit like the Church of Scotland vicar in Dumfries called Rev. Pagan!

media hype over Boris the Beast.
Forget the pound shop Farage (starting to warm to Baker :banghead: ) all eyes on Mr Big across the pond. Are his hands big enough for dabs? ;) Talking about those two, M and S sent me some offers including these which also look uncannily like giant piles of the unpolishable. I'm tempted to say they would be just deserts for them both - sorry.

Sea lettuce (Zostera) was one of the main foods of the Brent Goose that come to the East Coast from Northern Siberia. If I remember right there was a disease in Zostera marina in the 1950s that almost wiped it out, this resulted in a drop in Brent Goose numbers but they did recover later in the century.
