7.7 this morning. Pancreas is having a rest day. Hopefully it won't be to long before it wakes up and starts working again.

Another really busy day - no break for lunch- not even 5 minutes. I can't complain as it is all my fault.
"...I was suspicious when I first heard about the 'Diary Secretary' Scoobie.

And when she first appeared, seemingly so sweet & innocent when mysteriously appearing and meeting shaggy, Daphne & the rest of the gang, for the first time, it seemed a little fishy, so I did a little digging.

So I can reveal the 'diary secretary ' is none other than ..

Thanks for sharing another lighthouse. These last few seem bleak to me but I can imagine you both enjoying using and extending your skills and finding the process cathartic so helpful. Anyhow, enjoy your day and have what claims to be an upbeat pop song - finally a use for cranberries.

FBG 4.6. Taken 90 mins after getting up. Have been lethargic and slightly depressed for ages. Which of course leads to overeating, occcaisional overconsumption of wine and frequent overconsumption of biscuits. Feeling more energetic today. Almost normal for me. Is this because of the lower FBG? Usually in 5 and sometimes 6
MrSlim is still suffering with back pain. Recovery is very slow. Its over a week now and he still can't put his socks on. He has very sensitive feet and won't let me help.
Stood at the kitchen door watching a couple of hares in the front garden for some time this morning. They are about three times the size of Kiki. Will have to go check my vegetable patch for depredations and place protective netting where i can.
MrSlim will probably be more concerned about his willow saplings.
Both mowers predictably broke down the first time Mr slim used them. Three weeks ago. One is at the local workshop (€€€) ouch! The other was fixed by my in house mechanic. Except he came out to stop me mowing because there was a new problem. Of course he is not actually fit enough for wrestling with mower engines or exhausts. Honestly I swear he spends more hours fixing the blasted mowers than he does using them. Between the mower breakdowns and the rainy weather the grass has got really long with a huge flowering of dandelions. If I still had demijohns would have made my famous dandelion wine. Famous for its alcohol content, colour and clarity.

Yes, it is also about extending my digital painting skills, and learning the different settings Ian.

Thank you.

My son, when at school liked The Cranberries, but I had no idea of the words or music then. So thanks again.

Just had my nap so off in garden now...

Enjoy your day.

A kaleidoscope from this morning's lighthouse...

Cranberries...they're lovely

And Delores , what a beautiful haunting voice.

I doubt that helped your mood, either.

Good to hear your BG has seemingly given you a bit more 'get up & go'.

Best wishes for Mr slims improving back, asap

And more days, brighter like todays.

Take care.

Thanks for that. The Scoobie Doo post was brilliant, spot on (even though it wasn't the Janitor) @gennepher thank you for the kaleidoscope. @SlimLizzy hug for Mr Slim's back and the broken down mowers. In the Unicorn Kingdom it is (almost) once again no mow May. Is that something you could embrace?

Hi all,
Just been outside for short walk out side garden to bridge over the small river. The pull up the hill and back to the house was enough.
All the birds singing near the house was a real pleasure.
Life is good.
Zoom at 1600 to Helen.
D.
Easy does it but sounds positive that you managed a short stroll.

Hopefully the 5/6’s are just over the horizon again @jjraak. The diary Secretary really excelled herself today. Including the drive to the venue I did 9 solid hours without a break.

Good morning everyone on a dull yet excitingly early start here in the dark and dangerous north. I had to be up early to boil 2 dozen eggs, make an Italian rice salad and a green salad. They will be taken to brother in laws this morning - our contribution to the meal (bring your own drinks). Menu has been disected and issued in slices to all attending. There is a 10 mile walk first but I will only be doing 2 or 3 with the grandchildren. Art bit - some details added, more to follow. Hope your Saturday is pleasant. Must have koffy. Well, another at least.

Hope you had a great walk @dunelm

I could, but MrSlim is getting agitated about the shaggy looking garden. Did suggest leaving a largish patch to flower but came home to find he had cut it all. Paemracetamol can work wonders. Well he cut the remainder of the "garden" area, the rest is only mown occasionally. The orchard remains uncut until the orchids have set seed. Usually about end of May.

Looking at this I can see a lady in a long coat. Am I the only one?

Yes right from first seeing it, her head is slightly turned to right.

Late evening.

AM fbg a steady as she goes 5.9
Happy with that.

Stamina still catching me out.

A days work, (ebiked in)

A day off, tinkering, that I stupidly imagined would be half hours tops, that evolved ( when will I learn :banghead: ) Into several hours work & ending up me spotting an issue on Ebike that involved removing & ordering new chain (now arrived, awaiting time to put on)

& then an hour's rehab at gym, followed by another hour freestyling (weights, cardio, rowing)

Full days work next day.
And I knew station was too far to walk next morning ( no way I could commute all the way into work on pedal push bike alone)

So fixed up older bike for commute to & from station while Ebike stood down.

Blimey, what a difference that battery power makes.

So much more effort required, that tired me out even after all the months at the gym.

And if I'm honest knees not really up for the extra effort yet as it played me up all day
(Lesson belatedly re-learned  )

So after 3 full on days, I spent most of today..... sleeping

....aka power napping as I prefer to call it .

sounds more Zen & modern.
And less 'old man, just tired'...:hilarious:

Back to a day of 'doing' tomorrow...Matalan has been mentioned....:wideyed:

Wishing you all the best Sunday possible.

Gratuitous pic of part of my E-biking commute
