What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 8.9

At last.

In single figures.

Still doing as zero carb as possible.

See if I can get my figures back to the 6's

I don't have time to do a painting or finish off the YouTube wildlife vid this morning. Because I need to go on an expedition for eggs. I need eggs to help control my diabetes. They are very important. And there were none in the shops for the last week, and I have none now. The last I bought last week and you were restricted to two half dozen eggs boxes per customer. And there were only a few boxes in the shop anyway. Morally I could not have gone back later and got another dozen eggs. I might have been depriving important supplies another customer needed.

I still wasn't well enough to go and search for eggs yesterday morning. But my body feels more equilibrated being n the 8'a this morning. And also the horrendous heartburn, caused by that vegetarian sausage that was illegally put into my breakfast on Tuesday has nearly gone now. Apparently it is illegal to substitute something in a meal, especially when you have asked and verbally checked what you are getting.

How will my morals be this morning? I am banking on a lorry load of supplies from Poland for the Polish shop coming in this morning, hopefully with a few pallets full of eggs in it.

I am not well enough with my disabilities to go from shop to shop in search of eggs.

I will be back later when I have taken my blood glucose 2 hours after my breakfast. And when I have some eggs in the car.

If it were not for the wild beasts and foxes I would get some chickens, even though it is illegal to keep chickens here in your back garden.

I have sourced some quail, but I would need a substantial number of them, and Fort Knox their accommodation...

It is a no no isn't it?

I know everything in my garden respects each other, and the birds freely feed from the cat biscuits on the swing even with Midnight on it. And the birds safely feed off the ground even with the cats strolling around. But if I introduce some egg laying birds, it is going to totally upset this sensitive balance isn't it.

Back later when I have come back from egg searching and had a rest...

Have your best day.

All the best for your egg search

Morning all on a not quite dull, not quite bright start here on delayed black bin day. FBG on Weds was 4.9 lab verified so Swipey's 2.9 a tad orf. Abbott are sending a new one. @gennepher good luck with the egg hunt. @Annb good news on having the jab at all and especially the version which is what I had - much to my delight. Phone consultation later - numbers looked as though they should green light another cycle but who knows? Just for a change I may have salmon salad today after you lucky folks have read my word salad. Enjoy your day but maybe not if you wore a blue rosette yesterday. There may be some more eggs about since there is a noise of chickens coming home to roost. Saying chickuns is a tell tale sign one is from Cambridge itself and "unspoiled."

Don't worry I have been eggcentric for years, you will find some sources.

Good morning everyone from another overcast and damp squib of a start here in the dark and dangerous north. Must be all that spinach being squeezed out throughout the land for Coronation quiches causing so much dampness. I wonder if there is a quiche line somewhere that divides the quiche eaters from the quiche dissenters? Will quiche dissenters escape to the new world I wonder and where exactly is such a place. No quiche, no King! Ah, the importance of quiche. I shall not be indulging in such frippery instead it will be a traditional Yorkshire afternoon tea, a high tea if you will, not a Picky Tea. Parkin, Fat Rascals, Curd Tarts and rhubarb fool with York ham, crab and cold leftover Yorkshire Puddings covered in jam. Blood testing kits will be running for cover. Art bit - that’s the details inked in. Hope your day is good to you. I have already consumed koffy.

Thanks for sharing the wonderful art which is bound to be even more spectacular once the colour or sepia tones are added. I think I recall you adding some sepia but could be wrong. Indeed, there are signs of decline in my mental acuity as I read something that made me agree with JRM. Only that broad beans were an abomination could easily be a gateway drug. He also decried quiche full stop so as a pal I would advise you to seek advice. Enjoy your afternoon tea. Since only the York ham and sensibly sweetened rhubarb fool appeal to me I'd be happy to test my bloods. Parkin contains ginger so feel free to have my share for life.

8.1 this morning. Tummy upset settled down. Just feel tired and washed out and will be sensible and relax and rest today.:wideyed:

Boiler due for a service this morning.
Hug for the after effects of the tummy upset. Where is the yeah rite emoji when one needs such? Mental image of Mr K glancing at that and rolling his eyes while thinking these may look realistic but ......

6.8 this morning after an hour of workout yesterday I guess being in the 6's is okay for me. Just need to get down to the 5s again during the day which I have been having problems with recently.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Broad beans eh! Who would have known. Still, they are a good tonic for those with Parkinson’s with all that L-Dopa they carry. Thanks for the free Parkin but will have to give it to Mrs Miggins as I can only have a nibble at best.

Had to laugh at Nadine...art imitating life ...surely not .

The last two...impressive

& Hadn't considered that size might be an important form factor for acceptance ...mmmhh.

Cheers for that .

Quite liked the cartoon saying.

"Not my quiche"..lol

Sure to be a joyous day, but can't help think him being willing to make changes, he missed one

As king, no issue, though I suspect Will & Kate to be more loved once Will is king.

Big C however from consort to queen, may plague them both

Dissents likely to be increased by bringing Camilla out of the shadows, especially given the likelihood the media will over flow with comments
& they'll find every step is overshadowed by the memory of what Princess Di, did or would have done better.

So not my quiches, quichette either...seems apt ..mmh
