Thank you for sharing today's and all the contemplative pieces. I hope you find this evening pays correct respect to all those who deserve such. @gennepher thanks for sharing the poppy based creative and video. @lindisfel I'm with Helen, get thee to the doctor but good man for taking Marjorie out for the meal. Sadly, I fear Suella has done her job according to the attached. Not in my name fella.

6.3 this bright sunny Saturday.
I'm still not right, headache, yeah but at a lower level but woke up early hours with hiccups pain and wind. And the usual full(ish) bladder, but it was uncomfortable and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went and wondered if a cuppa would make the difference but it was burning going down, so I took a stomach tablet microscope to ease it.
I did some jigsaw, then cos I was tired, my eyes wouldn't focus so I gave up on that, pottered about, some quiet chores watched the news, the tories want something to actually happen today, disgusting!
So, I went back to bed, so unlike me. Four hours later, I had to get up, and go the shops before the bakers shut.
Birthday card to get etc.
Didn't have a cuppa, Mrs L still very quiet but asleep. Had to wait till I got back in.
I feel disoriented, got washing to do and sort out the kitchen before the footie.

@lindisfel , I have the answer to your driving at night problem.
Buy a spotlight, rig it up on the roof, from the centre console, Bob's yer uncle.
Seen it done on the movies!

@gennepher, where are the owls?
Spurs are winning!

Have a lovely national footie and sack Cruella day!

Best wishes to you all as always!
Poppies today @Lamont D

Sing You Home lyrics
Too soon to leave this earth
How could all your work be done
Ash to ash and dust to dust
Seemed to me you just begun

When grief invades my soul
There's comfort in a prayer, I find
Though these candles honor you
They burn for those you left behind

Chorus:
I'll sing for you because I need to
Right now this is all I know
You always said you wanted me to
So I will sing you home
I will sing you home

Know that you will live
On the lips of those who knew
What it was you had to give
And what it was they learned from you

This is my prayer for you
And maybe someday I will know
If it helped your journey home
Or if it helped me let you go

Chorus:

We're born unto this earth
Generations one by one
Ash to ash and dust to dust
There is nothing left undone

Chorus X 2

Thanks for that, mate. Beautiful!

One of the few English Monroes, Skiddaw this pm with snow on the top.
We stayed in a cottage just outside of Keswick, Applethwaite and the view of both sides of the mountains covered in snow, and the cloud halfway up was unreal. Especially as the sun was shining down on us. Walked a few of them, very slowly I assure you.
My eldest goes up to the lakes at least four weekends and a week, just to walk!
Also stayed in Bassenthwaite and Portinscale.
Fabulous place.

Nighttime wildlife camera
Cat & Fox & Badgers

Creative - painted in Procreate - Poppies

It was raining so hard all day and last night, it was impossible to go and change the batteries or sd cards for the Wildlife cameras. And Midnight was a wuss. He refused to go out in that deluge, and used the cat tray for the first time...I found an old fish slice to clear the contents...
And this is the cat who would happily walk in the rain a year ago.
I think he is now officially a house cat...

Time for a cuppa...

Have your best kind of day.

Thank you for that. Smashing

Good morning everyone on an overcast start to the day here in the saaaf. Smashing time yesterday but overdid the walking - 8 miles - how! We did visit a couple of museums in the morning and walked to and from the Albert Hall. Still. Met up with some friends that we have not seen for 25 years and promised each other to stay more in touch - as you do. Art bit, something that I was working on about a month ago. It took a several days but I took photo’s as I went. Hope your Sunday includes some peas. I shall have the last of the koffy that I brought with me.

Well, judging by a previous post, if the museum's at South ken, were Indeed the targets, that's a marvelous walk...quite a good way, too.

While London's blessed with glorious architecture, and everyone mentions the Albert hall, I think I much prefer the grandeur of the natural history museum.
Absolutely marvellous at dusk when all lit up.

To my mind, if Disney wanted to create THE ultimate museum as a backdrop to Indiana Jones, night at the museum, Jurassic park, etc..it would look exactly like the NHM.

Rest up, @dunelm , that was a fair ol' yomp you put in there.

I hope you & many others get some peas today.

Agree, NHM and the V&A were the ones visited. The architecture alone is worth seeing. Got some shots of the pannels in the ceiling at the NHM with the thought of maybe painting some.

Morning all from L.A. where we have the first frost of the autumn, at least on the front lawn. I'm not sure I feel comfortable with 4 and 5 year olds like my granddaughter- Squirrels - or even cubs and scouts, grandson, being out in a parade then service for more than an hour without coats. Thought we'd stopped sending 'em up chimneys but I'm very in favour of the idea of youngsters being in such events. Let's hope Elf-n-safety has a serious word. Nice touch on Friday to let them wear their uniforms to school. @dunelm some walk, some day, some art, some dad joke with the peas - do you have a side hustle in Christmas crackers? (I really begrudge spending money on those, always a source of some tension here.) Anyhow, we are treating #3 son and partner to lunch today hence the goose for Martinmas a week early Thanks be to Ben P (R.I.P.) both grandfathers and countless others I'll never know that I can do so peacefully. I'm not sure why my uncle, who sustained a life changing injury, and others were in Korea really. Same with Iraq and Afghanistan.
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Peace be with you all.

Good sombre Remembrance Sunday Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, will you wear your poppy with pride?

My blood sugars this morning were 6.7

On a positive note some young friends of ours are on holiday in our ex colony and he proposed to his girlfriend at the Grand Canyon, a very stunning backdrop and very romantic.
Being of a warped sense of humour this Grand Canyon proposal with provide much material for jesting.

Now it’s time to warm up the cathode ray tube in the idiot box for the Remembrance ceremony.
Time to go, stay safe all.
