Afternoon all

Blood sugars this morning were 6.4

Still unable to devote time to the thread, but the decks are being swabbed to use a nautical phrase.

Strangely enough I have not been able to devote time to my plinky plonky ( keyboard) practice and my playing seems to have improved. Hmm thinks!

Now it’s my nap time….nite night.
It has been known in sport or pastimes that you can have too much time doing what you do and the enjoyment wanes, even loss of form, can be because of this.

Some sport science boffins would readily agree that the desire to do what you do instills better performance.
If your happy and you know it. You enjoy what you do.

A happy workforce is a productive one.
And not many bosses or tories agree with that.

Morning all from a sunny start to Whit Sunday in L.A. Who else remembers Whitsun Bank holiday stolen by Sailor Ted not TBW? All Villeins used to have a week off from serving the Lord of the Manor. Ah, those were the good old days - or not. Today is also the birthday of our firstborn - thanks be to God - and farewell to Jurgen Klopp. The Guardian sees him and Emma Hayes as a significant loss to UK society far beyond the football world. @dunelm thank you for sharing your art. Enjoy the walk and, possibly, lunch. What a wonderful thing for your friend to be doing. @gennepher thank you for sharing another amazingly well observed sketch. @Annb hug for the painful start but winner for resuming your journey with art. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Felbrigg. Enjoy Sunday as you see best: there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Thank you @ianpspurs. Walk done, cash raised and my pal will find out tomorrow if he can come off his chemo or if it has to continue.

6.7 cos it's super Sunday for some.

Must start by saying it's a beautiful day today and very warm.

Have #7 & #8 come to enjoy the sun, the field, the ball, the food and drink, the sweets, juice and of course, the job of getting grandad absolutely knackered. It was great fun.
Mrs L sat in the garden with us, and falling over as she helped #8 play with the ball. She is fine as she cushioned the fall with her hand. She is becoming wobbled and I'm am fed up of reminding Mrs L to use something to lean or support her while on her feet.

Got a big shop in.
I ordered two items that were not the original items I wanted.
And so I ordered something similar.
They didn't have the something similar.
And sent me what I originally wanted.

Gotta clean up outside now I have time to watch some footie and post this, enjoy your Sunday evening.
My best wishes to you all as always!

Hug for Mrs L - I know what it is like to be a falling risk. Hope she didn't hurt her hand when she fell.
Funny should be there as well - since there isn't a frustrated emoji - for the silliness over your order.

Felbrigg was stunning. The sunlight through the trees was so beautiful.

Mr K had coffee and walnut cake in the Courtyard Cafe instead of sausage roll - much to Poppy's dismay.

Had a lovely day today. Walked miles at Felbrigg but actually felt energised - so when I got back home I sorted my summer clothes. I tried everything on and and only kept the clothes I really like.

There is now a bag of clothes ready to take to the charity shop in half term.

Then I did the lesson plans ready for classes tomorrow and then watched Countryfile and the first episode of Rebus from Saturday night.

Keiran starts his new job with Deloitte tomorrow he is quite excited to take on this new challenge, and happy to no longer be working for the Post Office.
Congratulations to Keiran. Future of the Post Office and Royal Mail are hanging in the balance at the moment, I think. Best to find an alternative if possible.

6.3 this morning.

We are shortly off to Felbrigg hall for a lovely walk around the park and woods and then of course coffee in the courtyard cafe. I have already packed my Montazumas so I am not tempted by the salted caramel ice cream while Mr K and Poppy share a sausage roll.
Would that be Montezuma's Absolute Black 100% cocoa chocolate @Krystyna23040, with no added sugar, no gluten, soya-free and made without dairy ingredients? Perfect if you follow a keto or low carb lifestyle, also for those with food intolerances, I imagine.

Perhaps it's an acquired taste, but quickly grew on me. Once I'd tried it, nothing else would do. It's rich and intense, so a little goes a long way. The big cocoa hit from Absolute Black is enough to stop me going too mad with it, but at weekends I like to round off my lunch with a few squares and skip the pud.

If you haven't tried it, it's made in Sussex and available from Sainsbury's and Waitrose supermarkets.

Sunday's FBG 4.6 mmol on waking at 6.00 am

Nighttime wildlife video.
Badger on the swing...

Creative...in Wetherspoons...I think I made a mistake with this one. Because I am sitting down and I have the time to spend a bit longer on it, I drew some of the background first and then I went on to drawing the man. But by that time my concentration (and the strength in my hand to draw on the screen) is going and I am having problems concentrating on drawing the man, and my hand is seizing up. Lesson learnt...just draw the human in future...

I need a nap. Hayfever and this high pollen count is making my eyes hurt and itch etc and I need sleep...

A cuppa first.

Have your best day...

As Ian said, hope Mrs L didn’t hurt her hand or arm or shoulder - bones don’t like surprises as you age. Shop order - hilarious.

Mmhh ...

BBC News - Water industry investors have withdrawn billions, claims research - BBC News
Private companies have a duty to make profits - water should not be in the control of private companies - don’t hold your breath when it comes to seeing improvements - Ofwat is a bit like the UN peacekeeping force - utterly without teeth. Wonder if I can get a job with Ofwat? Will I need to be on the board of directors of a water company?

I do like the figures on their own - they really stand out. The man seems a bit forlorn.
