Hi @Ziggy2017 when I go low I don't feel bad or like a hypo. I took my June graph of blood glucose to my Dr showing a few low readings but he said they were ok as my highest reading over the month was only 6.5. I have halved my Metformin and Gliclazide meds as well. I'm in with Dn tomorrow for my MOT so will have a word with her to. :)
@Terrytiddy that’s good I just worry about hypo unawareness

Morning all sorry its a bit late, but a nice 7 this morning and as I have my annual telling off on Wednesday I will take it. I used to call it my annual review, but as for the last 20yrs all they have ever done is tell me off for one thing or another, I now call it my annual telling off.

Take care everyone.

Well done on grasping the situation and taking control. I am new on here too probably for the same reasons as you but I think checking in here every morning will be a good discipline to keep me on track and moreso for the friendship aspect. Often when I contribute to other threads I feel a bit intimidated. Look forward to hearing your progress getting the insulin down.

Maybe if they walked in a diabetics shoes they might realise how hard it is specially for that length of time. I’m still in my first year. So good on ye.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who suffering this continental weather. From this morning I have decided that I shall adopt a continental lifestyle, with a long afternoon siesta.

A rather lowish for me that is 5.1 this morning.

Well folks enjoy today, I shall and be good because I shan't hehehe.

@alf_Josiah sympathy for the lowish fbg. You do know that fully adopting a continental lifestyle involves more wine, garlic, shoulder shrugging, appalling driving and probably being way more romantic (then energetic) than Brits are bred for? Just so you know:angelic:

I avoided the feed for a long tine too as I was quite intimidated by everyone else. I was having high results. With hindsight not high, but higher than everyone else.. or so I thought. My switch to insulin was not easy for me as I became obsessed with lowering my bg in my case I put on so much weight. I’m now in a happy balance of intermittent fasting and lchf losing weight(16 lb) , reducing my insulin significantly ( I’ve probably reduced it by 7/8 )
@Goacher55 great narrative about your progress and really good to know you feel welcome and reassured here. What use a message of support from a deranged old buffoon is I have no idea but I send it anyhow:angelic:

I have been doing that for about fifteen years ever since the MG specialist nurse at Derriford hospital told me that an hour or two of rest in the afternoon would help conserve my available Acetylcholine for the day.

Rebrand it to a Power Nap @JohnEGreen and it will sound so much more "of the moment" as those pri*** say;)

hope it all goes well for you, but alas for me I am fully expecting the doom and gloom speech " are you aware of what is going to happen to you??????" errm yes! I have "only" had 23 of these reviews before, but do go on, with my interested face on!:bored:. Let us see what they come up with tomorrow.

Good morning all. Bracing myself for another day of stifling heat - the thermostat in my living room is already showing 30 degrees and the office will be just as bad.

Still, I woke to a nice round 4.0 this morning.

Morning all. I'm still loving the warmth. Here on the East coast we have a bit of a sea breeze which while the temperature is still high feels more than OK . My sugars this morning are 5.4

I’m pleased this is a thread where T1s,2s, 3s and others can support each other and be friendly
I chewed my way through another active thread last night getting increasingly depressed at its bitter contents.
Good morning you lovely people - may you long stay that way.

A lovely sunny morning to all - hello to you @PenguinMum, this is a lovely group, with some very inspirational and knowledgeable people- I’ve been a bit lax lately in my posts but I’m hoping to get back into the habit of regular posting again soon. Anyway good morning to all the diabetic darlings today. My fbg was 5:6 and I’m cool with that

Morning all a 8.7 this morning which considering the hypo I had at 2am I will take it all day long, and as an added bonus I have what feels like cotton wool stuffed in my head before my annual telling off!! the hypo was my own fault as I had forgot to have any supper or my temp basal after training so completely my fault. Mind you I feel very muddled this morning, not had this feeling before so its interesting to say the least.

Take care in this heat everyone.
