Hi Kiwi welcome to our merry band. Stress not good for BG so if you can find a way to reduce your stress all the better. Wishing you well.Hi all,
Tested my blood this morning. 9.5
Newly diagnosed, type 2. First post here. Just been to Desmond, and wasn’t impressed for the most part, but some of the info was good. I don’t like their approach to low fat eating. It doesn’t make sense to me. Having said that, I’m struggling to make dietary changes. I’m under incredible stress right now and I know I’m eating very badly.
Hope to read and contribute more soon.

@jjrak, 6.2 is fairly good for starting.
Tagging @daisy1 in case you haven't seen the welcome message.
The best thing for testing at the start is not just morning fasting but also before after and 2 hours after meals. It is extremely helpful to find which foods cause blood sugar spikes, called "eating to your meter". Test right before eating and 2 hours after. If you get a rise of 2.0 mmol/L or greater, that food isn't for you.

i get i can't drive there & back, but i'll still be be able to see the uber outside ..right..LoL
Wish you all a good day, today.
We all know the strimming is where you want to be - just do itgood morning all
4.6 today
cooler but brighter this morning after the miserable chilly rain we got caught in during our walk yesterday afternoon, mum's little dog came back from the walk in great spirits but looking like a mucky mop head on legs
If it dries up enough today behind the house I may venture a touch of strimmingotherwise I'll be reduced to housework
Happy birthday @Goacher55
Hope your day treats you well
Cheers for the welcome, all...

It’s doesn’t go that blurry but I suppose people are different. I had no choice and drive home and felt completely confident. It was no worse than my eyes without contacts and I’m fit to drive without them.
sorry to quote flora, (can't see how to just LIKE a post..)
Thanks for the heads up..i'll skip taking an escort then, and simply walk there and back.
Happy Birthday @Goacher55 - hope you have a wonderful day.I’m on holiday as I’m 50 in just over an hour and I tested this morning. I’m 5.4 wahoo !
Had the flu a couple of years ago after having the have, get well soon.Morning everyone not had a very good few days so far on Saturday I felt so sick I couldn’t eat any dinner and yesterday and today I’ve been running temperatures my aunt said I probably have the flu but is it even possible to get the flu after having the flu jab? Not sure what I’m going to do today but right now I’m focusing on staying warm and trying to stop shivering. My blood sugar is 5.3 today probably slightly raised due to being sick
