What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Felicitations from the flatlands. Today's yarn spun by Glucometerman is 5.1 - not a top prize but acceptable. Have a great day in whatever circumstances you find yourselves,

good morning all

4.6 today

chucking it down this morning but at least it's not freezing

We'll be inside for most of the day today volunteering so the rain won't bother us much. Probably treat myself to dinner on the way home, shashlik kebab (chicken breast with peppers and onion) without bread and served with coleslaw and salad with a yoghurt dressing. I'm lucky in that the friendly folk in our favourite family run cafe are well used to me now, they will even do me a baked potato with no potato angelic: ) and give me extra 'filling' which also comes with side salad and coleslaw. They also do the best fresh brewed coffee

Hope your day treats you well

Would it be unmanly of one to share your happiness @Fenn? (Metrosexuals haven't reached these backwoods yet - I do have a manbag though)
Its 2018! Lets hug it out! In a manly way of course

My daughter (15) takes great pleasure in teasing me about my "make up" bag I carry all my stuff around in hehe

I've no idea where this will go Deb and I'm feeling out of my depth but will give it my best shot. How do you fancy coming to Blackpool haha.

I Have very happy memories of Blackpool. You’ll be great - your enthusiasm is infectious and if you help 1 person change their life it’ll be worth it.

This what the diabetes community should be doing for everyone who has this condition, we get bashed by the media, and virtually everyone else as "we have done it to ourselves" I think what you are going to do for the group at your Practice is an inspiration. And you will help a lot of people as they will be feeling scared of their diagnosis too. A huge, huge, massive well done. What a inspirational lady you are.

4.9 again this morning - despite my small trial of the low carb Baileys yesterday evening! It was delish and clearly LC but is now in kilner clip bottle in fridge to be kept for us at Christmas!
Yay it’s pilates this morning one of my favourite bits of the week but a lot on my to do list before and afterwards including a frustrating discussion with a company who I notice have charged me twice on my credit card - definitely need stress relief to deal with stuff like that. Most of frustration is getting to talk to right person.
Hope everyone has a good Thursday and bgs behave.

Mornng All. 6.0 this morning. Didnt post yesterday because it was a bone chilling 7. Fasted all day except for tea and pre dinner was 5.2 which wasnt great. However I am very stressed so maybe thats it. Tonight after work we drive the 5/6 hours to Pembroke Dock to get the overnight ferry to Ireland for the weekend. Always difficult for me but has to be done to see my lovely brother who is the only blood family I have. However, the forecast is for stormy and 50 mph winds so might not sail.
Have a good Thursday everyone. Stay well, safe and if possible hypo free.

Safe journey @PenguinMum and hope you enjoy when you get there. I once did a stormy crossing from Ireland so can appreciate your concerns.
