I thought about you yesterday when I saw this guy and thought he could help:

8.3 - And yesterday I was 7.3. Really!? Guess I need to trade my morning impatience for something that doesn’t make me feel inept at doing this LCHF.

So, Tuesday comes. “Let’s be careful out there”.

4.9 today which is a bit higher than usual for me. 2 members of my family have tested positive for covid and daughter starting to feel unwell. I am negative again this morning on LFT but feel like i got a day left to do things before i have to isolate

5.4 for me.

A couple of iffy food choices yesterday and restless night. Boo!

Cute bug. What is he?

According to someone who knows what they're talking about he's an 'Alder Leaf beetle': https://www.instagram.com/p/CPgnaFHhTWQ/

I just thought he was cute.

On topic ... if I went back down there for a walk today I suspect my blood sugar would head downwards. I'd bet he's low/zero carb but I wouldn't fancy eating him.

Thank you.
Just wondered what others do for first test in morning? Get up to Wash hands, use wipe, or not worry and just test.
Though perhaps need to start a new thread to explore this.
Hi Pipp not sure what others do but I wash my hands before testing just incase there is any residue from something I’ve last touched. K

Thanks, @Granny_grump_ ,
my difficulty in understanding is the recommendation to wash hands is fine for all tests during the day, except the morning fasting test which is meant to be before putting a foot to the floor. Not a problem this morning, as I had forgotten to take the meter upstairs last night. So was washed dressed and taken meds before I managed to get downstairs to test. Could all that feet on floor have caused my 8.1 reading? This D business is a mystery to me even after 17 years since diagnosis. Not happy. Just perplexed.

Hi Pipp I’ve only just come back to this site and I’ve forgotten a lot of what I learned a few years ago I’ve managed until last 18 months to be fairly steady in my BG but gone off the scale recently. I don’t take my meter to bed so maybe I should try I would ask an administrator or a more upto date for help and I know what you mean about type2 I’ve been type2 for 22 year’s and it still throws a curve ball even on Gliclizide. So if you get any information to help you along this path and I do we can share information and that’s what this group do. So here’s to a better management of our BG levels in 2022 Happy New Year Pipp

I didnt realise that you had to do your bloods before you get out of bed, I always do my first one once im up, washed and dressed, mine was 6.1 this morning which is pretty good for me, I've now been put on Ozempic to help me lose some weight, I alreadyhave to inject Tresiba 200 insulin and take Metformin, along with water tablets, so fingers crossed
