Good morning all. @PenguinMum..... Snap. 8.1 for me too. A hug for both of us! Disappointed after yesterdays 6.8. Keep your chin up @mojo37, a hug for bg and a winner for weight loss
Thank you I know it is frustrating especially when you think that because you have been "good " that this will be reflected in FBG .

Morning All 7.2 today so better than the last couple of days but I prefer 6s. @ChrisT2 that daily amount of carbs might be too high for you but we are all different. You could try limiting to say 75g and see how your meter likes it. I started on 75g, then 50g and now 30g and don’t want to go any lower if at all possible. At times I go over but try hard not to. @Estragon hope you are feeling ok after your “messed about” week. Enjoy Saturday everyone.

Back to the inexplicable....... 9.4 this morning with 93g carbs yesterday.
Evening @ChrisT2

Type 2 is a very individual disorder and we're all different, as you know.

In my own case, finger-pricking over some 20 years has shown me that type 2 BG readings do not necessarily reflect food consumption on a strictly meal-to-meal basis. The effects of overdoing the carbs on consecutive days can add up, plus the benefits of some anti-diabetic drugs tend also to be cumulative.

Please hang in there @ChrisT2. As time goes by, low carbing gets easier. It doesn't happen overnight as a rule, but given time, a pattern that's unique to you will emerge and your readings will no longer seem so inexplicable.
