What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Saturday here

The kids are off school for a couple of weeks so my morning walk is off the cards

Libre says five point four. I still don’t trust these readings but it’s comforting to see numbers which are normal

Have a great week end if you possibly can.

Off to the zoo for me

Thankfully just managing to get back into the sixes at 6.9 Thanks to all for comments on my dental frights which in this day and age are totally irrational but I had a very traumatic time in infant years at dentist. Believe it or not it was quite common to strap my arms to the chair before any treatment with those horrible drills and no anaesthetic. Even worse I was right at the end of extractions with chloroform and later gas, neither of which were pleasant especially for a young child. These days I reckon it would fall under the banner of abuse (certainly torture @grantg ) but fortunately things have massively improved however the fear is still deeply embedded. So glad my kids and grand kids shouldn't have to go through the same treatments but let's face it is not the most pleasant of experiences.

I know what you mean..
I'm nowhere as bad as you but any talk of teeth or dentists put my teeth on edge if you know what mean..

Morning all
4.83 Saturday morning. Two months ago I had a colonoscopy procedure, and changed my diet for the procedure. After the procedure, getting back on track was hard. Since I keep my food diary, I find out that dairy products raise my bg and give me constipation. Now one week ago I stopped dairy products and I am back on track. Have a nice day everyone.

Bright and sunny here but more than a bit nippy

Yesterdays zoo trip was a novel experience.

I suspect and hope the animals ate in a more appropriate manner than me .

The zoo canteen offerings promised “carnivore burger “ , surprisingly presented in a huge bun . Hey- ho bin bun.

Later Take out lamb / chicken/ prawn supper were covered in sauces of unidentified unavoidable sauces, deliciously devoured like a man who hadn’t eaten for several days, although it had only been a few hours.

Eating out is so tricky. It rarely happens in my life

Blood glucose crept from five on eating through to high sevens all night. Currently sitting mid sixes.

Home cooking will be resumed as soon as possible

Have a great day all. If you possibly can

In my normal life ( I’m on holiday at the moment) I find I respond poorly to cream and soft cheeses

. Do you find your diet more specific as time goes by on this “ low carb journey” ?
