Thankfully just managing to get back into the sixes at 6.9 Thanks to all for comments on my dental frights which in this day and age are totally irrational but I had a very traumatic time in infant years at dentist. Believe it or not it was quite common to strap my arms to the chair before any treatment with those horrible drills and no anaesthetic. Even worse I was right at the end of extractions with chloroform and later gas, neither of which were pleasant especially for a young child. These days I reckon it would fall under the banner of abuse (certainly torture
@grantg ) but fortunately things have massively improved however the fear is still deeply embedded. So glad my kids and grand kids shouldn't have to go through the same treatments but let's face it is not the most pleasant of experiences.
