Going to give those points some serious thought next year Goacher...set off happily to retrieve my click & collect Christmas items...how clever of me to avoid all that time/crush/browsing in the shops...spoke to assistant...gave her the confirmation email...she checked the list...she asked me my name...told her (despite it being on the email)...she asks me is it in a different name...no says I...she checks the list again...repeats 'is it in a different name'...no say I...why would I do that?...'oh some do'...I point out my name is the same as on the email confirmation...big clue...you think she would have got that...finally as she is about to ask me again...I say ENOUGH...at this point she is rescued by her supervisor...who checks the list...finds it by the order number...who would have thought it was that simple?...I secure my packages...leave... trying hard to retain my sanity, dignity & patience...managed that until I got to the car park...so busy...the person 'waiting' (use the term loosely here...honking & gesturing)behind my car...did not grasp the concept that to have the space I was vacating...they would have to move to let me out...not feeling the Christmas Spirit yet...will be later in the form of several large gins & tonics...Hic!Bless ya that festive be shopping lark is not for me anymore . Our only dependants are 2 spaniels so we agreed no gifts abut 3 years ago. It’s bliss! We gave up on birthdays, Christmas and holidays, we donate our time to the local hospice-care now instead. It works for us! Less stress so why my bg is all over, it must be due to sympathy festivities

Morning GG...while it is rare if non-dependant on hypo causing medications (insulin & Gliclazide etc) type 2s can & do have 'hypos'...or what is commonly referred to as false hypos....where you experience all the symptoms of a hypo...but are not in any imminent danger from it...it very much depends whether you have eaten...had you eaten...possibly unwell...even non diabetics can have hypos/symptoms if their blood sugars are low...a BG level of 4.3 would not normally be considered hypoglycaemic...had you been doing anything that might have brought your BG down suddenly?...such as exercise...when our blood glucose comes down rapidly we can experience the symptoms of a hypo...wondering how you dealt with it...and of course how you are now...it might be worth your while giving your surgery or practice nurse a call just to be on the safe side.Hi Glenmac BG today is still 5.8
Can I ask the community my BG dropped to 4.3 before bed last night I was shaky and my legs went like jelly head quite disoriented, ive always thought type2 diabetics don't have hypos, any answers please! K
Hi@Bubbsie I'm not on meds for diabetes and I'd only been watching some tv no food since around 5 pm evening meal but that's normal for me,woke up around 4 am BG was 5.8, but I am on antibiotics for Lymes Disease after finding a bite on my leg they do have some nasty side effects these capsules but upto now I've not had any. It's a bit of a mystery! K Thanks for contacting me. X ps. I just went to bed didn't deal, with it at all!KMorning GG...while it is rare if non-dependant on hypo causing medications (insulin & Gliclazide etc) type 2s can & do have 'hypos'...or what is commonly referred to as false hypos....where you experience all the symptoms of a hypo...but are not in any imminent danger from it...it very much depends whether you have eaten...had you eaten...possibly unwell...even non diabetics can have hypos/symptoms if their blood sugars are low...a BG level of 4.3 would not normally be considered hypoglycaemic...had you been doing anything that might have brought your BG down suddenly?...such as exercise...when our blood glucose comes down rapidly we can experience the symptoms of a hypo...wondering how you dealt with it...and of course how you are now...it might be worth your while giving your surgery or practice nurse a call just to be on the safe side.
Ahh...a possible explanation GG...antibiotics just before my review sent my BGs soaring...could be the cause...but...if you are at all worried give the surgery a call...no harm in taking every precaution.Hi@Bubbsie I'm not on meds for diabetes and I'd only been watching some tv no food since around 5 pm evening meal but that's normal for me,woke up around 4 am BG was 5.8, but I am on antibiotics for Lymes Disease after finding a bite on my leg they do have some nasty side effects these capsules but upto now I've not had any. Hi Rie26 hope your feeling better today,I'm type2 not on meds. so not able to comment on gliclazide but other on here may be of help a few on that medication. KGood morning4.1 this morning. Had a hypo of 3.8 at work last night. I've been on gliclazide 4 weeks now. Had lots of hypos in the beginning but my dose was lowered. That's my first hypo in 2 weeks. I normally don't feel them but did last night. Just feel so tired this morning.
Good luck with the log delivery, hope they arrive for you soon! K your BG levels are great!Kgood morning all
4.7 today
still waiting for the log deliverybut we got lots of sorting out done in mum's shed yesterday. Central depot said the delivery would be yesterday, local delivery depot had no idea! Been awake since 4.10am but only tested at 06.00.
Got a walk with mum's wee dog yesterday between the showers and cast on a new sweater I'm just starting to knit so not exactly a wasted daybut I hope the bloomin' logs arrive today.
