What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

No tests today so an average over about 12 weeks 5.297222222 just to stop me drifting off here - (I have a tendency to do that) @Bubbsie truly amazing treasure trove of love and care there. Hammered home to me the message that if I use my eyes properly I can see God in all sorts of places. (Don't anyone be offended if not a believer the point about love and care is applicable whatever) Have good days y'all and play nice.:)

Morning all. Yesterday I got to post my first Xmas card. A bit late you might think but there are some of us who every year find the job more difficult than others. For those in a similar situation I've designed an all time card. https://sites.google.com/site/offic...wfqaaoBwWdfso3M_mufvameU4_hIV9PflZuvDBEjZmxPs. my sugars are 6.1 this morning
Great idea @OrsonKartt The meme at the bottom of the page makes me think you should live around here - often plenty of chickens regularly strolling around on their way to and from home.

I am not surprised the friends and colleagues value your time, effort, love and care. The results look amazing and the presentation looks very accomplished. Plenty to ponder on for me - but like much on this forum not directly applicable to my skill set. Thanks for that. I think I am definitely meant to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest something important from this and whatever it is will be way more important than bg control:)

Its not as difficult as it looks Ian...the cakes are super easy...the mince meat just fruit loaded in brandy & mulled wine & spices...a little plain brown paper wrapping & some raffia (the pound shop)...I find it relaxing...therapeutic & it's great for my BG's (apart from the sampling).

@Bubbsie wow your baked and made pressies look amazing. I do find it hard when making or baking non low carb - it’s the resisting of the scraping of the empty bowl but I’m making a traditional choc cake today so temptation lies ahead! Makes me think of my very realistic dream last night where I ate loads of quality street - after mum insisted yesterday evening that we watch this lacklustre hour long programme of Greg Wallace going through a factory producing quality street so expected my bgs to be up this am so relieved to find them up only slightly at 5.3. At least there are no actual quality street in the house to tempt me I refuse to have them lying around as they were one of my weaknesses a few years back. I used to put a few bowls of sweets out based on tradition for family and friends but everyone else ignored them except for me! I didn’t buy or eat sweets otherwise so don’t know why!
Have a good day all on what is probably Temptation Tuesday. Hope your bgs behave.

I have a very perfectionist streak and would never settle for the results of my efforts (indeed I would end up livid)- anyone reading any of my posts would never have a clue about that trait:angelic:

shelley I had my fill yesterday far too much of it... the thought of a sweetie or another mince tart or scraping the mixing bowl makes me want to heave...out of my system now thank goodness...until next week...just some savoury treats.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and fellow omnivores, I have been wondering about the old phrase " you are what you eat " Therefore if I ate a vegan, who's diet mainly consists of vegetables as I believe, would I need to eat my 5 a day vegetables and fruit?

My meter said hello to me this morning with a 5.6.

Well today I am left unsupervised again, chaos and mayhem are popping in for a koffy later hehehehe.
Have a great day folks
Hand and footnote no vegans were harmed in the typing of this post. Apologies to the electrons that were slightly displaced.

.....the mince meat just fruit loaded in brandy & mulled wine & spices..

For heaven's sake, bubbsie.....JUST STOP.

Some of us have vivid imaginations...

It won't do for me to be drooling and fantasising about your food all day...:bigtears:

As Ian says, does does look delicious...
and almost shop bought presentation..5 stars.
