What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

 5.9 this morning. Then again I didnt know about the activity / shower thing , as I had a shower first. Still learning.

4.9 at 09:00, after the best night's sleep I've had for at least 3 weeks.

Discovered that my new painkillers (Nortriptyline) can either raise or lower bg levels, so maybe it's not my doing

i was 6.4 this morning, but i did have a small slice of custard tart last night at a family BBQ,
it went down to 6.2 two hours after having my bacon egg and tom though

9.3 this morning. I know this is high but it's much better than it has been.

You are doing well Claire :)

My daughter was 9.9 this morning so i am getting there with her, i am trying very hard to be patient!!

This morning's was 5.8 after a mild hypo yesterday evening of 3.6. It was 5.3 by bedtime and I'm glad to see I hadn't overcompensated with carbs!

5.2 at 08:00 BST.

I'm a little relieved at that - yesterday I was in the 4s all day, first time ever. As I said, my new painkiller can affect BGs, so I was worried it might keep going down!

Strange woman! :D

Hi all,

I am going to advise that this thread is not for the faint-hearted. If you feel you can post your morning BS then feel free but do not lets turn this into members feeling bad because they dont achieve similar figures and not "having a go" because we all work at different levels and what works for you may not work for someone else.

PLEASE remember that it is about just keeping in touch...... not comparing!

Josie
An appropriate caution, Josie. Yes, a touch base point - but also if a person asks for a suggestion of what's helped others keep an am number low I think that's a good dynamic that can be followed through. But agreed - not about judgement.

Mine was 6.1 today -- guess my snack last night didn't help...

Dont know if i like the tone of this comment ether ? is it a WARNING !!!

If members cant freely post BG Results whats next
we going to have a WARNING on weight loss numbers

I cant see its any different from posting your Hb1c

Bob

Bowell - definitely not a warning, more a note to let people know not to feel bad if they have slightly higher numbers. I think some of the mods, and ourselves, were a little cautious newbies would find the numbers hard to reach and perhaps feel a bit down or like it was a bit of a competition.

So no, not a warning - just a 'please don't be disheartened if your levels don't match' note.

Mine was 4.4. Very happy with as had lowered lantus about 4 days ago.
Quick question - can stress lower your bs as well as higher it? it seems to have done that with me.
