What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.9 this morning completed a full week in the high 6s for me.
I have even trying to get it back down to 5s but its not playing the game

I put this in the non chatty forum by mistake. I excpect to be burned at the stake shortly.

5.1 again here.

Been out to buy some strawberries from Sainsburys. I don't know what it is about their new type of strawberries, but they are delicious. They don't look ripe with their white tops but they are. No bitterness. They need a good rinsing though - soily.

Quite icy this morning however this is the first time I have been out and not felt pain in my legs and hips for a very long time. I put that down to my weight loss 90.4Kg down to 73.7Kg measured this morning. In fact getting out was a real pleasure even if it was soooo cold.

Not much to do today now except wait in for a Royal Mail parcel of lancets held up in the Christmas post. I thought I might try some thinner lancets to see if the tiny amount of pain can be reduced when doing the BG testing. Presently using generic 28G lancets. Checking out silicone covered 33G ones.

Thank you for acknowledging your mistake. No burning at the stake, I’ll just edit the thread to reflect the ‘very low chat level’ over there! @ianpspurs and @Estragon i will edit/delete your posts referring to this as well.

There is another thread with full on chat that covers everything if you want to try that too ;)

5.8today, but feeling that I need to eat and drink less. If I am feeling too fat, then most likely I am.:wacky:
@Gwynn if you are finding finger stabbing painful, try stabbing sides of fingers instead of tips. Also, I use same finger for one day, then move along, to the next finger for a day. Thus giving individual digits a long rest and recovery period.

7.2 again today, same as yesterday, but in US reckoning today's 130 is down from yesterday's 131 so that's good.

I usually lance the same finger (on its side) and I find it seems to get numb/toughened to the prick after awhile. It's when I don't check FBG for awhile that it hurts a bit when I start up again.
