What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I have 5.2 fasting
and my hba1c is 57
I am doubting my glucose meter. Is this normal or you think I should get another test done for HBA1C

Fasting levels are not a good predictor or necessarily a good indication of HbA1c as the fasting measurement is a snapshot of blood sugars at one specific time A1c gives a value for the average BS over several weeks and will be effected by levels between the individual tests you may have done.

Remiss of me welcome to the club.

Diagnosis of Diabetes normally requires two A1c tests showing diabetic levels interspaced by several weeks.

I had Astrazeneca and felt awful and had raised Bg .

Mojo I also had a bad reaction to Astrazeneca with the first jab, and nearly didn't have the second because of how it affected me! I had the worst dizziness of my life that lasted for NINE days! Thankfully, after hesitating for six months, I had the second, and with no ill effects thank goodness x
