What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All. 7.4 today despite not eating since roast lamb and mixed veg & little gravy at 3pm yesterday. How weird is that! Anyway its sunny, enjoy the day if you can.

FBG 8.1 then a drop to 4.8 by lunch.

Another 3mmol+ drop on an accurately carb counted breakfast. Ugh don’t really feel like doing another overnight basal test. Really need to invest in a half unit pen.

8.0 - yesterday morning 8.8, and I went to bed on 8.6, so, still in the single figures and a potential a downward-dog curve.

All aboard the good ship T2-Tuesday as we again navigate through the choppy Ocean of Sugar out there, beyond the Bay o Carbs.

5.3 today. Still waiting for blood results - its been 2 weeks so phoned docs yesterday but they have no news either. Think the jubilee bank holiday must have got in the way. As an aside, I was interested to note our surgery is now giving the option of either a face to face meeting or phone appointment so looks like things are getting back to normal in my neck of the woods :)

Mine was 5.4 when I got up at 4:30AM, higher than I like as I spike with Foot-to-floor syndrome within 30 minutes of rising.

Regardless of what my waking BG is, I infuse 1.5-2.0 units of Novorapid (split between immediate and extended bolus) prior to getting out of bed. D

Nice to meet you all, I'm new on the forum but have lived 57 years with T1D (in Canada )

Morning All. 7.7 but had a bit of stress and a large gin led to a large handful crisps! At least I have some reason for the big 7. Welcome @T1DJim interesting I wonder if I tested around 5.30 when I usually wake instead of when I get up at 7.30. Food for thought! Have a good Wednesday all.

Hug for the stress but good news that Dr Gin was on call. I hope the stress is short lived. Hug for the cramp @DEBBIESCOTT and winner for the lower fbg @Estragon. Go Team D - slip slap slop and wide brimmed hats on UK Plc
