What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Added strawberries, raspberries and an apple to my regular diet. Apparently not a big impact on my BG, fructose will probably affect my A1c.

Your readings are so consistent every day! I am pleased the fruit didn’t impact your BG.
 
Some great numbers out there! Great work everyone.
I have a question. When do you measure your morning glucose? I generally get up, get dressed, make the bed, prepare my food before testing….maybe 15 minutes after crawling out of bed. I do this as hubby is walking out dog and I like to sit and have our coffee together before I hit the gym. It likely doesn’t make too much difference as I test at the same time every day, so for me I can compare against myself. I’m just curious as my numbers are always higher than I would like.
this morning 6.9
i eat very few carbs, less than ten a day.

Most of us here check our FBG readings as soon as we get out of bed. That ensures conditions pre test are as close to identical as possible. BG levels rise once we start to move around. That's normal and a modest rise is to be expected.

I get up wash hands with warm, totally dry and test BG right away, works good for me! If I wait my number will be higher.

6.4 mmols at 7:30. I’m surprised by that low ish reading as I had a large sausage roll and ham sandwich on regular white bread for my picnic (yes I know I could have made better choices). I kept the carbs very low for dinner and didn’t eat after 6:30. No rhyme or reason.

We used to take the kids there a lot,
Sunday afternoons in the winter on the parking terrace with a flask of milky coffee watching the waves
I’m guessing you’re very close to the town I work in

Huttoft is about an hours drive away from me (40 miles ish) ;)
