What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning ️ from California!

4.83 mmol/L 87 mg /dL. Happy Thursday morning. Oops I changed my mind again about fructose in my diet, no more fructose for me, back to the bitterness. I have been drinking black coffee for over 10 years.
Have a nice day everyone

Well things have gone downhill since Wednesday morning. life chaos, pain and stress are definitely my triggers for eating sugar and carbs.
11.2 tuesday, 11.3 this morning. I really struggled this morning but did manage to drag myself to the pool. Must have had my grumpy face on, thankfully none of the regulars spoke to me.
Edit: forgot to add, took my first dose of metformin today. Will see how it goes.

Thankyou - I really did need a hug or three:)

Pinch punch 1st day of the month! I’m disappointed with 6.5 mmols at 7:30am

Snap @ianpspurs I hate winter too. I don’t like wearing socks (I think I only own 1 pair!), I have to wear slippers in the winter and my hands go cold as soon as I touch something cold plus I have to wear at least 3 layers to keep warm. I have read that getting out into the daylight as soon as possible and let your eyes absorb as much natural light as possible for at least 10 minutes (don’t wear sunglasses or look through a window) helps with the circadian rhythms.

Have a fab Friday everyone x

Devil took hold last night and gave me an 8am awakening BG 18.6mmol.
I had a late tea and with pasta, but wasn't expecting it quite so high.
Dry mouth, blurry vision and feel lethargic and low today. I'll fast until the numbers reduce to single figures.
Feel like going back to bed and start again from scratch after I've had another sleep. I'm sure to be back in the game later, so see you all later.

Morning all. Definitely winter in the UK. Fbg of 5.4 here - I'm not even going to dignify that with a comment. For all the analysis and avoiding some delicious food - much "normal" Christmassy/winter food is pants - the returns are too often a poor ROI but the big picture is key. Cheese advent calendar day for granddad, Baileys one for Nanny, Spencer Bear, Science Museum and weird Nativity ones for granddaughters - joys still to come for some eh B?
