What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

FBG 5.5 this morning. Could so easily be 6.6 though. I've not been posting as I have been having real issues with my glucose tester(s). I usually validate my results against a second meter but I am noting upto a whole point difference between the devices. I now don't know which glucose meter is the more accurate. Sadly my "trusty" meters seem no longer to be so trustworthy so I've decided to stick to one tester for the foreseeable and hope for the best because using both and trying to get consistent results is doing my head in! :banghead:

Hope you're all doing well and nice to see some new posters. :)
Good to see you and that is a sound plan IMHO.

Is this the Berberine effect…..a lovely 5.4 this morning! I’ve even seen two numbers in the 4’s, before meals, this week. Unheard of! Food continues to be ultra low carb, of course.
endoscopic ultrasound tomorrow….pretty sure it’s going to be ok.
Hello @Bcgirl Terrific numbers, I want some!

Seriously, the effects of berberine therapy are reckoned to be cumulatiive, so improvement following a week's worth sounds a tad optimistic to me, but we're all different.

Enjoy your holiday in Mexico, look after yourselves and take care.

5.6 mmols at 7:30. I’ve stopped the berberine as I’ve been getting a bad pain across my diaphragm and as that’s the only difference in my day-to-day I‘m suspecting that, I haven’t had it or the pain since I stopped taking it on Friday.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone x

Morning All 6.9 which could in reality be a 6 or a 7 but 0.1 down on yesterday! @Bcgirl good luck with the endescope @Peanut234 you are getting there @RosemaryJackson same really just carry on carrying on. I like to think that everyone in here is trying their best and that can only be a good thing.
Stay safe and well or get well everyone.

4.2 at 5.22 then 4.5 by 7.22 at the start of months of being cold, hungry, tired and wearing more layers than one of those ludicrous, inedible giant show onions. Please don't tell me how wonderful winter keto/lc food is (especially don't ever suggest Diet Dr to me) - I've had 8 years of it. Sadly, I have tried some of those, to me, batpooh crazy ideas but obviously YMMV. Eat to your meter is wonderful but it has to pass the gag reflex test. Anyhow, @Bcgirl thoughts and prayers with you today for the endoscopic ultrasound. Think of all the fun in the Mexican sun.

Late posting, but better than never. Woke up with a pleasant 5.7 this morning. Has been quite the roller coaster since changing from MDI to closed loop. I’m on my 4th pod and the algorithm seems to have learnt quite well. I’d really dialled in my setting on mdi and never spiked about 9 will meals, but on loop it’s allowed me to spike to sometimes 11. First day with porridge that it’s back to my usual 8 max eating the same meal. Going to challenge this today see what happens.
