Metformin improves mortality in T2D trial
 

A new study shows that treatment with the diabetes drug metformin could improve the mortality of older, healthy men with type 2 diabetes. The drug, a first-line treatment for type 2, could also lower the risk of several diseases such as cancer, according to US scientists.
