Ahhh puddings .... Mrs No6 has the moniker of Queen of Puddings and going to friends dinners normally involved travelling with a big box with something sweet and yummy inside. Alas, her new name is ‘Queen of low carb stuff with weird ingredients that tastes ok’ She has been a star, when the inulin and psyllium husk etc arrived she looked daunted but checked out diet doctor and came up with some pretty good grub for me. Sadly pudding seems to be sf jelly and cream or sf jelly and cream.
Have you tried cream and SF jelly ;)

Just copied some of these they look lovely thank you for sharing x

Evening all, arrived safely and all settled in.
B coffee with cream and cheese omelette
L Costa coffee chicken salad and small cappuccino
Coffee with cream once we arrived and unpacked
So far so good,
however,
just been tempted by an amazing pizza.
Where we are staying there is a couple who visit and set up an authentic Italian pizza wagon and I gave in ;) I had a half and half with cheese and mushroom and ham toppings, regardless of numbers when I test next it was worth every mouthful :)

A day book ended by autumnal weather, light and around here the smell of mellow fruitfulness going bad on the trees and floor. @jayney27 enjoy the pizza and embrace the fact that we hold this treasure in jars of clay - you have looked after that jar remarkably well all the time I have known you on this forum. I definitely wouldn't have earned my corn this week had I been a horse but hey ho.
Breakfast: 2 X 1.5 pints tea with almond milk
Mid morning snack: 3 pints tea - just trying to kill time before eating really - avoiding “dead carbs”
Lunch: Taster of Jarlsberg from a new source; Flaxseed flatbread (just flaxseed and water); h/m chicken liver pate - aed roasted elephant garlic and Metaxa made it a thing of beauty just need some bread/breadish substitute to work; CCB; 3 pints tea
Afternoon snack: Tea
Evening meal : Plaice and squid in an egg wash and flaxseed coating; celeriac chips; edible leaves and flowers;
To all those in Birmingham, have a great time and enjoy meeting those you chat with online in the flesh.

Thank you for the kind words

@ianpspurs thank you for the kind words. Yes for the past 10 months I have exercised control and on occasions wrestled with myself but resisted many temptations. However this evening I decided to practice a little of what I preach, mostly to myself, but sometimes to others, I decided to step off my very narrow but mostly smooth path and risk the rocky surface of the path of naughtiness, it didn’t feel as scary as I thought and regardless of what the meter says I will not let it spoil my weekend, as we all know tomorrow is another day.

And I'll add to @Brunneria

Made this more than a few times. A bit too much butter in the base and it wobbles but it soon sets when cold. It's delicious.

Real special occasion one and retro Black Forest Gateaux. Got @Brunneria to thank for pointing me in this direction. As I do with most cakes , I fold the stiff egg whites in at the end. I also add kirsh or cherry brandy to the fruit.

Chocolate pear cake. What more can I say. As before separate the egg, whisk the whites and fold in at the end. Gives you a much lighter cake. I used 85% chocolate

http://thehealingspoon.com/instant-pot-keto-creme-brulee/

My new favourite - instant pot creme brulee. Done in 9 mins. Inulin torches on the top to give you the toffee crack on the top. No one knows this is anything different to a creme brulee. I add a few raspberries and a little cream.

Tell Mrs No6 - fear not. I thought it was all very odd. Now I have baking cupboards that look more like a science lab. Even Hubby is realising it's just another way of cooking.

Yogurt raspberries and walnuts for late breakfast, with coffee the caffeine sort.
Baked haddock and broccoli for early dinner. Mineral water. Was going to have some cheese, but couldn't manage it. Feel like I have had a huge feast.

Greetings from Birmingham where we’ve cleaned Jamie’s out of cresm, created our own dessert and eaten quantities of steak that would make @bulkbiker proud.

Editing to add our starter creation - they roasted some almonds and added sea salt. Delicious.
