Afternoon, another evening in anticipation of 'The Apprentice'. Much shouting at TV about to happen.

Breakfast-Hi-lo toast and butter
Mid morning - Coffee and small biscuit in cafe with sister. I have eaten about three pre decimal biscuits since I was diagnosed!
Lunch - Bacon strips, left-over roast chicken, cucumber, sour cream and chive dip. Lack of french stick (now known as white death in our house) meant I used the chicken in the dip. It was delicious and disgusting in equal measures! Strawberries and cream.
Dinner - Not very hungry so probably more chicken and dip! Home made chocolate mousse a la @Brunneria recipe from the booklet. Can't believe how quick it was to make, going to add some orange essence next time:smug:
Snacks - Smoked almonds

Failed to wear new jumper today....too warm. bah!
Gee , I'm just recovering from GBBO and now I have to gather soft things together to throw at the TV during the Apprentice.
Not sure how I feel about Rahul winning. He was always so miserable. I was a Kim Joy fan but she blew it with her showstopper.

Bed 6.4 FBG 6.4. No DP into the 8's today. Worst was 7.7 so we're settling again.
Yesterday - you have me hooked on them again @DJC3
B. DD breakfast sandwich but used streaky crispy bacon this time as Hubby wanted a bacon sandwich so it was just as easy to cook more bacon for the DD version.
L Nothing
D. The crispy sesame chicken strips with sugar free tomato ketchup and sweet potato chips. Never made the crispy crumb for a while. This time the combo was almond flour, flaxseed meal, parmesan, paprika, sesame seeds.
Breyer's berry choc chip and 5 blackberries.

I was nice and made my DIL a tray of rice crispie peanut butter slices. Nothing LC about this. Melt peanut butter with 10 ozs marshmallow, add 6 cups rice crispies. Put a layer into a 9 x 13 in lined tray. Add 24 Reeses choc peanut butter cups. Add the top layer of crispie mix and drizzle with melted choc and peanut butter - carb laden! I loath peanut butter as well but DIL says the tray tastes just like she remembers from USA.

I find it makes a difference with me then I just mix it up a bit. Depends how I feel. Don't like missing breakfast though. When I did the 2 week DD I had to remove lunch as it was just too much food.

I think lunch will be easier to skip too. Breakfast is what gets me up in the morning!

I’m just settling in for a night shouting at the tv too! Such fun!

Re Bake Off I agree Kim Joy was my favourite but the landscape was disappointing. I liked Rahul at the beginning, then I found him annoying but I liked him again by last night.

Evening all
I’ve had a productive day sorting CDs and managed to cull about 3/4 of them and took them to the charity shop. Not sure anyone will want them - one was by Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner, why on earth did we have that???

B: The DD breakfast sandwich which is becoming a firm favourite.

L: Out with some old work colleagues. Couldn’t find any nutritional info on line so plumped for a chicken Caesar salad which was huge and delicious and has a surprise poached egg in it.

Don’t think I’ll have dinner as I’m not hungry at the mo so will attempt fasting until breakfast now

I’d forgotten all about the apprentice! Must have missed a few episodes now.

Missing tonight’s too as on a slow train home after several cancellations at New Street.

Today’s menu was mid-morning snack/breakfast of M&S pork crackling. Lunch was Serrano ham and manchego rollitos followed by 3 Hotel Chocolat 85% batons in the Hotel Chocolat cafe on New Street. Dinner was bunless bacon cheeseburger at Five Guys. They gave me a huge portion of bacon which made up for the pre dinner rogue reading of 9.8!! Retest more successful.

Blimey - must have given you a shock

Hope you’re not too late home this evening. The roads and rail everywhere seem terrible these days.

Thanks, Train seems to be going faster now and has emptied out a bit.

Very sleepy though.

Another day with high points and baffling readings as low points. The long sleeved black polo shirts finally arrived so I can wear all black all winter to match my mood (all base layers are black) Designed a 2nd storey for the wood stack; Bouillabaisse tasted rather spiffing - probably need to guess the 2 hr level - hopefully new strips arrive on the morrow.

Breakfast: Lots of tea - Tea - standard issue 3 pints then Yardwork
Dockey/Brunch : Tassimo Americano Grande with cream; 2 plaice fillets, portobello mushrooms and stokes garlic mayo - 2 hrs later meter seems to have given me Alastair Cook’s batting average by mistake
Lunch : 2 pints of Tea - still waiting for other strips and not sure what is really going on with bg so played safe; dog walk (no deer or St Bernards today)
Mid Afternoon: Tea - really wanted hot chocolate but see above
Evening meal: Homemade Bouillabaisse - (like to give Julie a job) based on this http://www.slowburningpassion.com/how-to-make-a-classic-french-bouillabaisse/ we used way more white fish, brown shrimps, prawns and seafood cocktail.
GBBO and The Apprentice - were you lot all mass murders in a previous life?? Karma is certainly punishing ya:angelic:

Goodness, I am FULL.

Ate my heart/liver/kidney/mince Morrocan stew at 1.30 this afternoon (enjoyed it)
and at 7pm I am still stuffed to the gills.
That is one hearty meal!

Only trouble is, I forgot to take my 'with food' supplements. So now I have to try and sneak a wafer thin mint in (or something) alongside the supplements. Nowadays I am v wary of taking them in a way which might challenge the ol' digestive tract.

I forgot to post my gruesome halloween tale .... Putting my hand in my handbag this morning came across something revolting - it was a test strip pot with the lid off and some yellow goo coming out. It had originally had cream in it which I’d taken out with me ages ago in case I couldn’t get cream in my coffee at Pret. I’d forgotten all about it and it had fermented and turned into a buttery horrible mess. Lesson learned ( maybe)

Hi all busy day - out much of day with mum sorting things!
Breakfast scrambled eggs and mushrooms
Lunch m and s rollitos
Dinner Toby carvery turkey, pork, mashed swede and cauliflower followed by lc trifle back at mums.
Two hospital appointments with mum in the morning and jobs in pm then off to Lincs on Friday to help Mr Gs brother with his move on the sale of family home. He’s moving in with his partner in South Wales so lots of family memories etc from the loft to sort and take back to ours to store.
Looking forward to Apprentice tonight - mum enjoys it and takes her mind off hospital in the morning.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Day at my Mum and Dad’s who try their very best to accommodate my low carbing.
Lunch: hard boiled egg and cheese salad (mini plum tomatoes, sugar snap peas and celery) followed by dessert which I took with me, Greek yoghurt, raspberries and LC chocolate granola.
Mid afternoon (oh no I had to swerve the biscuit tin!) Banana Carb Killa bar and black coffee.
Dinner: chicken casserole cooked by my Dad, fished out the broad beans from my portion, served with brocolli and new potatoes (I picked the smallest one!) followed by raspberries and cream.
I survived well, average blood sugar so far today 5.48 :)
