What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Even more hilarious is there are all sorts now. There are quad - ferrules , flexi - ferrules and I'm now found a gecko ferrule! - 4 feet, green and black with rubber things on the bottom of the 'legs'. I thought too is was as simple as spiked or not spiked.
Gecko ferrule.
I want one. Link available?

@maglil55 Awesome Santa story!

Kudos to St Nick (and you for finding it)

Made my day.
He's still gobsmacked. I've taken a pass now so I can update it with other videos if he backtracks. The videos are really well done but the phone call from Santa mid video really hits home.
I've since sent his brother a video. Big brother is working really hard but could still do better. His video let him see his Santa Book and since he can read he couldn't believe he knows his age and where he lived. It then introduced them to magic gift tags and the excitement when he saw other magic gift tags were for people he knew. Crunch for him was when Santa said now I know you've been asked to try harder at school this year. Head was nodding like mad. Told him he's doing well but he can still do better. Head still nodding like mad. They can't fathom out how Santa knows so much. They reckon it's the elf cams which are everywhere.
Got to say it's a great site and the wonder on their face is quite something. I doubt No 1 will believe in Santa next year so I'm making the most of it.

I am feeling an irristible urge to send Mr B something... can you name the site? Or did you do that earlier, and I missed it?

Evening all
@maglil55 I’m definitely looking at your Santa link, thanks for posting it.

Early breakfast today - ham and fried egg. Coffee&cream
Then off to granddaughter’s nativity which was lovely. Just watching her scan the audience for a familiar face, then spotting me and her other nanny and the smile that lit up her face when she saw us, was the best Christmas present ever.

Lunch: advent calendar pork scratchings ( only 2 bits - 5g) and a couple of bits of chorizo as I was chopping it ready for dinner.

D: Halibut, red pepper and chorizo. A Tom Kitchen recipe which was naturally low carb but I reduced the quantity of red pepper a bit. It was delicious. Had it with buttered sprouts.

Breakfast - protein peanut & chocolate bar with a cup of tea
No lunch but snacked late afternoon on 2 of the salty chocolate treats I made last night along with a cappuccino. Can’t decide whether the treats are amazing or a hazard for being just so yummy and moreish!
Dinner - first for while where I’m not cooking separate for rest of family - a good old full English. 2 pork sausage (1.4g carb each) 3 bacon, fried egg, mushrooms, a grilled tomato and I’m trying a small potato rosti for the first time (7g carb) - know this meal is usually fine with my BG without the rosti so interested to see what difference it will make

Breakfast: - 3 x 1 pints tea with almond milk
Dockey : 2 x 1.5 pints tea with almond milk
Lunch : Dog walk then @ 2.40 Smoked salmon and cucumber sandwich with chunk of stilton; bread was Dr Almond Black Seed bread; 2 slices weighed 120 gms @ .2 gms carb per 30 gms = rounded up .9 gms according to their info; taste very much to my liking - also GF; coffee with cream https://lowcarb-glutenfree.com/prod...-paleo-protein-bread-mix-vegan-allergen-free/
Afternoon: See lunch
Evening meal: Large avocado, mackerel and oak smoked cheddar salad topped with lashings of chia seeds - amazing the difference celery makes to a salad and how Fenland celery only has an 8 week season - nearly over now

Breakfast - Hi-lo toast and butter
Lunch - Bresaola, olives, tomatoes and cucumber. Montezuma's lime and sea salt chocolate.
Dinner - Stroganoff, sprouts and carrots. Strawberries and cream and a scoop of low carb chocolate granola.
Snacks - Nuts and a packet of salt and vinegar squares :D

Trailed out in very disgusting weather only to find Royal Mail lost my parcel:banghead:

That bread looks really good, and very low carb. I’m definitely getting some, thanks for the link.

You are most welcome. We also bought some Christmas Vanilla crescents and cookies plus schwartzbrot - 1 postage fee. Bit disappointed with bg after the sandwich (5.3) but not too bad. Will make the cookies nearer Christmas.

The play was great, the children were wonderful, the only less than perfect bit was when the show had to be stopped while the headmaster announced that a bus was stuck in the road outside because a car was blocking the way - turned out the car belonged to my granddaughter’s other nanny who then had to do ‘the walk of shame’ to shift it. It was hilarious ( for me, not her poor thing she was red as a beetroot)

Are you back up to mum’s on Sunday then? Gosh it seems you’ve only just got back. Your life is a whirlwind. Hope you get everything done.
