What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Evenin’ All,

This morning was a lovely portion of bacon and scrambled egg. I wish I knew where they got their bacon from. Smoked, but with a v real flavour. Must ask them their supplier.

Lunch was a hunk of Wensleydale.

Dinner goatsmilk yog with cocoa and cream. Mr B ended up snaffling all the curry by himself.

Tomorrow I need to make some more offal soup. Yum. Been craving it, so I must need some of that lovely livery goodness.

Hello all. An early post from me as it’s an omad day and Ive finished eating. Shopping this morning and pilates at lunchtime, it didn’t seem worth squeezing meals in so ate I big meal at 4pm.

2 good sized lamb chops, cabbage fried with streaky bacon. Fried mushrooms and the last small spoonful of the unimpressive cauliflower mac and cheese. ( glad to see the back of it, shan’t bother again)
SF jelly and cream afterwards.
Hope you’ve all had a good start to the week. Have you managed to get around ok @Goonergal after your slip yesterday?

Breakfast - Hi-lo toast and butter
Lunch - Pate, six tiny sourdough crackers, tomatoes, cucumber, olives. Strawberries and cream.
Dinner - Poached eggs, serrano ham, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms.
Snacks - Too much Montezuma chocolate. Almonds

Went back into kitchen and found the half of an avocado on the chopping board that I was supposed to have with dinner!! It was suitably brown and inedible! :banghead:

Hi all some good menus posted already today even though you forgot your avocado @Tori71 they go brown so quickly.
Breakfast the very last quarter of lodough dipped in egg and fried served with a fried egg ( not planning to buy any more lo dough prefer Hilo)
Lunch in a real rush so just grabbed a few nuts and lump of cheese
Dinner chicken salad served with halloumi chips followed by lemon and lime mousse and my advent calendar choccie with a coffee.
Managed to get my Christmas jumper sorted so hoping to join the Christmas jumper avatar gang tomorrow when persuaded OH to take the festive photo!

I love avocado as well :arghh:.
Totally agree with you about the Hilo bread, I really enjoy the seeds in it and am always finding them all over the kitchen floor. Have you tried the 'eggy' bread with the Hilo, and if so would you recommend it?

I haven’t I did it with lodough in desperation to make it edible but will try it with Hilo at some stage and let you know!

Hi all.

After a fasting day yesterday, definitely feasting today.

Hungry earlier than usual so had a late breakfast of M&S Serrano ham and manchego cheese rollitos.

Lunch was a dessert - bought some almond butter and extra thick double cream and ate with 40g Tesco 85% chocolate.

Dinner was brined chicken with some more almond butter/cream and my advent calendar choccie.

@DJC3 much better today thanks.

Pleased you’re feeling better take care in the am it’s due to be icy - especially at the early hours you’re out there!

Evening all. What a manic Monday! One day I will be organised but until then my daily menus are looking very similar :banghead:
Breakfast - 2 mugs of tea
Lunch - nothing as works just crazy
Late afternoon - really hungry so snacked on a couple handfuls of dry roasted peanuts
Dinner - only got home half an hour ago and needed something extremely quick to cook so threw in the wok a pre-packed chicken tikka jalfrezi kit - tikka chicken, onions, peppers and a small sauce kit. Claims to be 10.4g carb for the whole thing. Will see if my fbg tomorrow agrees with that or not, but in truth the convenience of it was very much needed so I’ll take whatever comes.
Looking forward to your Xmas jumper avatar @shelley262 :D

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: salmon, fried eggs and hollandaise sauce followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: raspberry chia pudding and black coffee.
Dinner: chicken curry, cauliflower rice and LC garlic and coriander ‘naan’ made from a Joseph’s pitta followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.

Hello all,

@Goonergal -- Great that you are feeling better today. Happy that no lasting damage was done.
@shelley262 -- Looking forward to your new avatar wearing your new Xmas jumper.

Strangely, blood sugars have been spiking a bit after food during the last few days -- no idea why this is happening. Fortunately, spikes are down within half an hour to one hour, so not overly worried.

Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and erythritol. Had some fried chicken skin while I was frying a piece of chicken breast to avoid it from going bad (the chicken breast is now sitting in the fridge.)

Lunch: Nothing.

Snack: One square of 85% chocolate and two pecans.

Dinner: The last of the leftover soup, one lowcarb flatbread (DD keto bread recipe) with butter, one glass of red wine.

Seems to be a lot of that about.

Hi all. Another early post as Ive just had my omad:
IP Lemon and garlic chicken with cauliflower (cooked in microwave with butter and cream)and green beans.
Now have a bit of mature cheddar and a glass of red. Yes, I know it’s early but the sun is over the yard arm here!
@ziggy_w hope your bgs behave today. I can certainly sympathise with that problem.
@shelley262 I love your Christmas jumper, great photo.

Hi all, a chilly start of minus 2 in Yorkshire with a frost over the fields, didn't really get much warmer as the day progressed

Breakfast - Hi-lo toast and butter
Lunch - Slice bacon, sausage, plum tomato, mushrooms, two fried egg yolks at local cafe (catch up with friend).
Dinner - A bowl of strawberries with double cream and a spoonful of chocolate granola (still stuffed from lunch but needed something to eat with metformin meds)
Snacks - maybe later......

So, made the granola today and not sure if it should look as it does, plus only took ten minutes in my oven, and not 28??? Ayway, it tastes good:happy:

Breakfast: - 2 x 1.5 pints Dilmah English breakfast tea with almond milk
Dockey : Swimming lesson for wrinklies then 2 x Americanos with lactofree single cream and CCB
Lunch : 1 x 100 gms Black Country Pork scratchings - 1 gm carb; water
Afternoon: Dog walk; 2 x Whittards Orange Pekoe Tea
Evening meal: 3 poached eggs; 2 slices of corned beef; 2 patties of celeriac and swede; 2 Potobello mushrooms;- all fried in avocado oil; h/m mayo

@ianpspurs i love the thought of your evening meal!

I had no B
Prawns in garlic mayo for lunch
D was Awful Soup and beef mince with garlic and chilli

Also 4 (!) squares of Lindt orange 55%. It was that or plunge into Mr B’s tube of Pringles, so I am quite pleased it was only 4 squares.

:D

Pringles are odd, arenkt they? Pretty unpleasant, really, but that wouldnkt stop me from chomping my way through huge numbers of them.
