What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.3 after a bit of a restless night
However my gym induction is this morning so no doubt will help to power my workout! Don’t know why but quite nervous about the gym and all those machines that look like instruments of torture! Looking forwArd to relaxing swim, jacuzzi, steam and sauna after though!
Hope everyone has a good Wednesday.

Now there's a coincidence as William Rufus (the red) who was killed by Walter was according to my family tree my 24th great Uncle and his brother Henry, Rufus's that is was my 24th great grandfather.:)
@JohnEGreen Does that mean you'll be able to get a French passport after Brexit?

I don't think strips are required just an option. I don't think a reader required just an app. But I'm on a learning curve myself haha. If you find oit let me know :)

Sorry for short reply. Packing for jolies tomorrow!!! Here's a clue. To be sure to be sure. Im hoping to find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow handed to me by a leprechaun!
Hi @Debandez, @jjraak - I have a meter but don’t use it, just the app on my phone. So, you just need the monitor discs. The are a bit pricey so only of value of you want to look at graphs and test a lot.

good morning all :)

4.2 today

looking like mild weather again :)

we went out for an hour yesterday, got a bit of a walk with mum's little dog and picked up mum's shopping list so I'm planning a bit of shopping today :)

mr. gee managed to eat a bit of roasted chicken and some plain boiled rice for dinner with thankfully no ill effects afterwards. Amused us both because chicken and rice is what the vet told us to feed mum's dog :hilarious:

Hope your day treats you well :)

Morning All. 5.4 today.
@Providence 62 @Chronicle_Cat @jjraak interesting stuff about Irish heritage. I am 100% Irish. My late mum was T2 dx at the end of her life mainly due to heavy steroids I believe but she was also Coeliac as are her three siblings. I have heard it said that Ireland has a bigger proportion of coeliacs than anywhere else. My fathers family were very poor and to feed the numerous children it was bread only or potatoes only mealtimes. He only remembers a tiny bit of meat which would be given to his father, the breadwinner (how apt!). The only fruit he ever received was a banana, an orange at Christmas. So in other words a carb fest.
Have a great day everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

After bouncing along at about 4 durning the night my reading climbed up to 5-ish from about 0330 to 0400. It was at 5.3 when I tested at 0755. It climbed up to 6.2 by 0840 and is now down at 5.9. Only a mug of tea and a cafetiere of kofee so far today.

I like the interesting goings on with family history’s. On my mothers side, my great, great grandparents came to England from Sind in India, now Pakistan. They worked on coal barges in Manchester. My grandfather came over from Cork in Ireland in the 1920’s and married my grandmother. The family were still working coal barges and after just a few generations, although you can see a bit of dark gypsy in my mother, my grandmother was the last person that showed any visual signs of India. They moved to Yorkshire where my mum met my father. His family have been in South Yorkshire for centuries and blood tests show Saxon and Scandinavian predominance. My wife is a member of Clan Fraser and, according to them, always have been. Her parents moved to England from Edinburgh because her father was an engineer and had work below the border.
I think most people in the world are mongrels of one sort or another and, of course, we are all descended from Odin, the Old Father.

"...and tension remains high.

Staying with the topic, the Liverian embassy called in the DCUK Cultural attaché today, to demand answers to this morning's provocations.

Allegedly, one embassy official awoke before the Liverians could properly process them, leading to a charge of low FBG.

The ongoing crisis has been bubbling since August 2018 when relations between the two began to deteriorate,

The sanctions imposed on Liveria by the DCUK regime, have had an ongoing impact.
And today's spat is just the latest tit for tat row between the two

A spokesperson for DCUK refused to confirm the alleged 5.2, and simply restated that the decision of when to action the waking process is a matter for individual states, and that Liveria should and I quote. "Get its its act together" unquote

Now the weather..
clear blue skies here in the Capital, with temperatures in the low 50's."

I'm sure it will be much higher now after the last hour! Im doing an irish jig!!! Boiler being fitted today. Plumber arrived promptly. No flue in boiler pack!!! You would think a boiler would include a flue but no! Have the company got them in stock. No. Has anyone around these parts no. Can I use a different universal flue. No. Good old eBay. Nearest one 20 miles away. Bought over phone. Taxi delivering within 40 mins. Not testing my BP at this point but looks like all sorted!!! And breath......
