1 CP is 10 grammes of carbs. Think it's meant to make it easier for those who find the maths tricky? I'm not in that category so I just find it an unnecessary extra thing to think about.
Sounds pretty complicated to me. But if it works for some, nothing wrong with it.
I just found out my yearly review with both internist (we don't really do endo's around here) and diabetes nurse will be in 4 weeks. Way too soon for me, as the last one with internist was in june or july.
At that last appointment (my first in hospital as a T1 instead of the GP nurse as a T2) my lovely internist made it clear I was to see the DN as well. I don't want to visit the hospital more than once a year if I can help it, but I do like my yearly blood test to be in winter, as I had a serious vit. D deficiency, but after putting me on supplemements 3 years ago no-one has bothered to check again, and checking in july seems pretty useless to me.
So next month I'll be meeting my DN for an hour. Very curious what that will be about, as I'm sure she won't spend an hour tickling my feet
And I'll have my yearly appointment after half a year with my internist, as it's a combined date with the DN because I didn't want to go to the hospital twice. Which hopefully means no-one will want to draw my blood again until november 2020 after my appointment
I expect the internist appointment to be very nice from a social point of view but utterly boring diabetes-wise, as nothing has changed really in the last 6 months. Hopefully the DN will be nice as well, and won't panic over my hba1c. We'll see!
And I'm an idiot for still getting nervous over those appointments. But hey, that's the reason I said no more than once a year.
