What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning. A day full of promise, both ephemeral and eternal but always the great Baals of our age to appease. @Cumberland hope the cataract op goes well. Mixed bag from my Baals today. Fbg of 5.7 = fail for me with 11 gms carb but 136 gms and 31% protein yesterday may explain that one - or not. Good length and quality sleep plus resting pulse getting back to 60 and lower as a result of mini HITT session very acceptable. Hoping for the success of the White Orcs on steroids and loving the choice of Psalm 122 for All Soiul's Day.

Good morning and a 5.9 today at 5 am.

Wow, it's taken me yonks to get through all your posts, the forums been busy, busy over the last 24 hours.

@HarryBeau sorry about all you have been through with kittens, terrible shame.
@gennepher go get em you deserve some answers and success
@SaskiaKC sorry you have some inconsiderate neighbours. I don't actually use earplugs just headphones but my wife does have some used by rock bands, Mrs MC cant stand loud noise, they work with different filters for different levels of noise, great at concerts when music can still be heard with clarity but not damaging ear drums. Not sure they would cut out your neighbours noise and allow you to hear TV.
9.4 that’s ok

Early to bed for me as having cataract operation 8am in the morning

Goodnight
Hope all goes well for you.
I'm sure I have missed lots of you needing hugs, congratulations and support, there is so much going on today.

I hope you all have the best day you can.

Good morning everyone a rugby cup final. It’s like a day at the arena to distract from the lack of grain.

The wonder wheel of something very meaty for dinner last night resulted in a 5.4 this am. Best not be snacking throughout the game this morning.

Nothing planned for the weekend; we were still supposed to be at the little house on the prairie but a phone call yesterday morning to say that one of our grandchildren had a bout of sickness and diarrhea put paid to that. Never mind, she is best staying at home, keeping hydrated. I expect that the twins will join in at some point.

Have a great weekend if you can.

Good morning folks, late on parade today, 5.9 on the dice, I would have liked to have been lower as the first tinny will be cracked open at 9.00 am.
Good luck with the fight @gennepher you seem to have that tenacious streak that will get things sorted.
So sad that they are closing your charity shop @geefull , good grief if they start closing down charity shops there will be nothing left at all on the high street except bookies and greasy spoons.
Good luck with the eye op @Cumberland hope all goes well.

Have a lovely weekend all and come on England.

My 2 had it last week dunelm one after the other x

Woke to a 6.3 which was a darn shock after only having 1 small meal at 5pm yesterday, I expected better.
2 other small shocks yesterday:
the first was Christmas songs being played in Costa.
The second was seeing Dennis after his first proper groom room visit. His fur had got quite matted in places after 3 weeks of the babygro and cone so I’d asked them not to spare his looks and just make sure all the mats were gone. I honestly thought they’d brought me a different dog when I went to collect him. Before and after photos to follow ( he had just been for a very muddy walk beforehand so looked even scruffier than usual)
Good luck @Cumberland for your eye op today, I’m sure it’ll make a huge difference.
@gennepher like the others I am so cross and indignant on your behalf, how can they just ignore all you cochlear implant folk?
@SaskiaKC your walk with your friend sounded lovely, it’s a lot easier to walk when chatting isn’t it?
@Debandez just wow! Every time I read one of your posts my mouth drops open and the good works are really doing your bg good. It wasn’t long ago you said you never got 4s brilliant.
Now the photos - we think he looks like Tramp from Lady and the Tramp!

Ouch... 6.8 this morning. I had blueberries and double cream before bed, haven't had it for a while and, apart from giving me a dodgy stomach, I have been up since 0400. I'm just going to walk-on by whistles :banghead:

Thanks MC it was the worse news but with the information I have now there was no way Wood Green charity would have know the kittens were so ill they came from another rescue centre to Wood Green... we are now a priority for two kittens in the coming fortnight.

Dennis after his first proper groom room visit.
I think he looks roguish in the before photo DJC...and beautiful in both photos after the week we've had Dennis has made us smile something that has been absent the last week...big up for Dennis he may be miniature in breed but he's a giant sweetheart!

Mornng All. 5.3 after the safety net that is an omelette. It is wild and wet here atm. OH scared we will lose our power during the rugby.
@gennepher sending hugs and keep on it. You deserve better. @Cumberland best wishes for the op. @SaskiaKC neighbours can be a real problem but that noise issue must be very unsettling. Shame on them for being so selfish. @DJC3 hug for the fbg and thanks for the pics of your boy...both pics adorable in different ways. I love the way he is posing with pride in his slinky silky pic lol. @OldButBold sending hug for the sting in the tail. @geefull sorry to hear your charity shop is closing agree with @trick60 the high street is on its knees and very sad to see. @HarryBeau hope your day goes well.
Enjoy the rugby and good luck to England. Stay well, stay safe.

I'm not a sports fan usually PM but loving atmosphere & not a mention of Brexit win win...dam there I've just mentioned it...apologies in advance to any members offended by that slip up!

good morning all :)

4.9 today

We ate and then went to bed later than I prefer last evening ;)

It's a very grey day here and raining steadily, we were thinking of taking mum out for lunch and shopping so she could pick up some more knitting wool, she's already almost finished the sweater she's got under construction for one of our cousin's Christmas pressie. It's taken her about a fortnight :D

Weather is not generally conducive to that plan but it's quite mild so it's still under consideration :) the alternative is sorting one of our bookshelves :sorry:

Hope your day treats you kindly :)

Thank you that’s lovely, I’m glad he bought a glimmer of a smile to your face after your rotten week. Fingers crossed that next week will be the start of better times. ( although the rugby hasn’t started it too well)

Glad the omelette worked. I think I should have had one too.
We’re not sure if Dennis is settled into his new look yet -it still gives me a shock to see him but it will definitely make it easier to clean him up after walks. It’s so muddy everywhere at the moment.
Hope your power stayed on for the rugby, or maybe it’d have been better if it went off?
